Surprised Bicester hasn't been mentioned yet.

In London there are lots if you include LUL as well. Though I will stick to Wembley for now.

What's it called? It's called Cumbernauld
A few in my mind here.

Clydebank and Singer (both along Kilbowie Road)

Whyteleafe and Upper Warlingham

Coatbridge Sunnyside (North British Railway) and Coatbridge Central (Caledonian Railway) - however, this walk is useless on Sundays due to there being no Sunday service at Coatbridge Central.

South Milford (Leeds & Selby/Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway) and Sherburn-in-Elmet (Midland Railway)

Do Ash and Ash Vale count? You have to go to Aldershot first and reverse to get between the two. I've often wondered if anyone very fit could run between the two before the train does the same journey.

In East London, you have two pairs very close to each other (and in fact, both are recognised out-of-station interchanges).
On TfL Rail, there's Forest Gate which is about 300m from Wanstead Park on the Overground GOBLin, and the next stop eastbound on TfL Rail is Manor Park, which is 500m from the next stop eastbound on the GOBLin, Woodgrange Park.

I was looking at the services through there a couple of months ago. There's something like two in the very late evening/early hours both from Charing Cross running straight through en route to Tunbridge Wells. Nothing stopping though. Also, I'd suggest East and West Croydon. The nature of the town centre means it's not the quickest walk, but it's a sensible distance. I'd also suggest Purley Oaks and Sanderstead.

if you include the Underground, Kilburn is easy walking distance - and a useful interchange - with Brondesbury on the North London line

Regarding Beckenham Junction - New Beckenham, it is possible to travel on a direct train between both when the Mid Kent Railway southbound towards Hayes is closed for engineering works, with trains diverted from New Beckenham to Beckenham Junction.

Furthermore, you can also travel between both stations on a direct train without stopping when there are engineering works between Lewisham or Hither Green and Chislehurst Junction (where the South Eastern Railway crosses the London, Chatham, & Dover Railway).

It's quicker between the two central Croydon stations now due to the existence of the exit on the East Croydon overbridge. I reckon you could do it in under 10 with a following wind.

I can attest to Purley Oaks and Sanderstead as they're my joint local stations.

My contribution though is...Carshalton and Carshalton Beeches.

Yeah but then you don't get to pay £4,000,000 for a hipster infused cronut (croissant meets doughnut for those of you who aren't trendy) as you pass through Boxpark ;)

Are there not still a couple of Salford reversals that serve Picc then Vic (or vice versa)? Or are we looking at direct connections only?

Only movements that do that are ECS. Even with the current overnight closure of the Standedge route TPE aren't running services between Victoria and the Airport with a reversal at Salford - they are running a replacement bus from Victoria to the Airport instead.

Doh- I should have known that there was an engineering possession earlier this year that caused that!

The GN line parallels the Piccadilly Line for a while, from Drayton Park to New Southgate, then the Northern Line for 2 stops and diverges away.

One example is New Southgate (GN) and Arnos Grove (Piccadilly Line). It's only about an 11 minutes walk between the two.

Oakleigh Park (GN) and Totteridge and Whetstone (Northern Line) - 17 minutes walk. May stretch the definition in the OP, though.

New Barnet (GN) and High Barnet (Northern Line) - 21 minutes walk, 13 minutes by walk and bus.

Coryton and Radyr may not be far as the crow flies but they are miles apart by road and divided by the River Taf.

But you can walk between the two very easily. There's a footbridge over the river.
And the OP did specify walk, not drive.

ps just looked up the route I walked on google maps and it's less than a mile, I did it in about 20 mins at a leisurely pace.

Oulton Broad North and Oulton Broad South -- you'd have to travel into Lowestoft and change there.

When we come to Acton...

Acton Town has no connection to any of the others (it used to have a shuttle to Acton Central).

Acton Main Line has no connection to any of the others.

Acton Central is next to South Acton on the North London Line, but has no connection to any of the others.

East Acton is next to North Acton and West Acton on the Central Line, but has no connection to any of the others.

And Ealing... South Ealing to Ealing Common, North Ealing and Ealing Broadway all require a change at Acton Town, and to West Ealing requires an additional change at Ealing Broadway. North Ealing to Ealing Broadway requires a change at Ealing Common.

But Coryton & Radyr are different places, separated by the River Taff.

Sudbury Town and Sudbury Hill (Piccadilly) and Sudbury and Harrow Road and Sudbury Hill (ex-Great Central, now Chilton Line). The Sudbury Hill stations are about a quarter of a mile apart.
