Though it does have 5 terminating services an hour, all other passenger services through Huddersfield stop (diverted South TPE services excepted). Under plans for 6tph, 2 of those terminating services will be withdrawn.

Newport (South Wales) just misses if we're using the stricter criteria as the 0658 from Pembroke Dock terminates at 1035 and returns as the 1040 to Fishguard Harbour.

There are also starters / terminators to/from Ebbw Vale during engineering works and Cariff Central on big match days. There may also be some non-stoppers on those days but I haven't checked.

0518 Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington via Westbury does indeed pass through Bath Spa without calling.

0705 Wolverhampton to London Euston passes through both Birmingham International and Coventry without calling.

And as Cherry Picker says, 0609 Kidderminster to London Marylebone passes through Banbury without calling.

There are a handful of Chiltern services which don't stop at Banbury.

Ah fair enough.
Think Derby is one that hasn't been mentioned.

Haslemere must surely be one as this is where passengers change between fast and stopping services to Portsmouth, the only passenger trains I am aware of that pass without stopping are occasional XC diversions.

Lewisham.

(Some trains avoid Lewisham, but I can't think of any that pass through without stopping.)

Dorchester South/West, Bournemouth, Honiton, Exeter St. Davids/Central, Salisbury and possibly Wareham and Brockenhurst

iirc, Honiton, Dorchester and Maiden Newton have no terminating services.

Honiton has an early evening terminating service from Exeter St David's with SWT.

Shrewsbury, Welshpool, Newtown, Caersws, Machynlleth, Dyfi Junction, Borth, Aberdovey, Towyn, Barmouth, Harlech.............................

There is a service from Machynlleth (Departs 18:00) to Aberystwyth that misses Dovey Junction and Borth.

The above highlighted, Llandudno Junction and Chester both have bay platforms and trains that terminate there.

Bangor doesn't have a bay platform in use but does have trains terminating there.

I suppose it all depends on what we describe as a terminus. I think that many people might regard a terminus as somewhere where through running is impossible, e.g. London Euston, Charing Cross, Victoria, etc. , and that the presence of bay platforms is not sufficient for the whole station to be classed as a terminus if through running is also possible.

Derby has terminating services from Crewe.

Hmm I thought we were only asked to exclude termini and last time I traveled to Derby it wasn't a termini (although of course it does have a bay platform).

Also, for what its worth some trains from St Pancras also terminate at Derby.

Coleshill Parkway? And excluding engineering works Oakham and Melton Mowbray where every passenger service stops

Coleshill is missed by quite a few XC trains each day.

Melton Mowbray is disqualified due to the 1800 ex-STP. (Not sure who came up with this rule.)

Hounslow and Brentford have all services call there. The other stations on the Hounslow Loop miss out thanks to the 1723 and 1753 Reading to Waterloo on weekdays.
Some services in the morning do start from Hounslow, none are booked to terminate there since the weekdays 0737 Waterloo to Hounslow was extended back to Waterloo via Richmond.

there will be loads on every branch line in the country - every intermediate station on the Marston Vale line or the Bishop Auckland branch for examples

I'm confused as some have and others haven't. Maybe some clarity is needed as to what we are including.

Disqualified due to the "no terminating trains" rule (which also rules Winchester out as there is a Southampton - Winchester service in the afternoon)

The Thameslink Bedfords are routed East Croydon>Norwood>Crystal Palace>Tulse Hill. RTT must be wrong as I'm not aware of any that go via Streatham Common and Streatham.

Most likely those trains are pathed via Streatham due to paths via Crystal Palace.

No, some get routed via Streatham Common. I was on one the other week that did. It has happened a couple of times. Wether or not that's planned or just because of delays or engineering works I don't know.

As do some trains from Nottingham - The evening Merdian/HSTs from Nottingham to Derby are a bit overkill on the capacity front... (I assume they are ex-St Pancras effectively doing a stock move to Etches Park via Derby).

Does anything travel through Nottingham without stopping?

Your rule though? As far as I can see, the OP hasn't been back and confirmed that yet.

Yes - that confused me, too. So - I resubmit Frome!!! Westbury I exclude because from time to time there have been Southern services that were fast from Warminster to Trowbridge. I am not sure of the current situation.

Regular peak trains on the Bexleyheath line from CX pass Lewisham non stop. They used to be first stop Kidbrook, but I think that it is now Blackheath.

Westbury is excluded due to the Saturday 06:08 Bristol to Plymouth XC running nonstop from Bristol to Taunton via Bath & Westbury (passes around 06:39)

All of which are majority through stations, but each have bays and regular terminating services daily.

Edinburgh Haymarket is one as well

Dorchester South is one on the SWML, possibly Southampton Airport Parkway as well
