Afternoon,

I am looking for some clarification please.
I have some Rail Travel Vouchers dated to expire 10 Oct 2016.

My question is,

Do I need to travel before the expiry date, as a local station states I must?

Can I purchase my travel tickets, to use beyond the expiry date of the vouchers?

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Andy

Your station is talking absolute bobbins.

You have to carry out the transaction to get the tickets on or before 10 Oct. Date of travel doesn't matter. Phone customer services of the TOC who runs your station and get them to correct the booking office.

Anyone know why Virgin don't offer Cash for vouchers at thier booking offices like other TOCs?

Because whenever anyone sent in a complaint they'd throw vouchers at them like confetti instead of actually dealing with the problem

Because you can request cash from them at the outset.

TOCs which offer cash for vouchers only do so for delay repay claims, not for general complaints. You usually need to bring the customer relations reply letter - or so they say.
