Arriva North West routes

New buses for these routes has been postponed.

I believe these are due to arrive later this year, but I'm not 100% sure.

Also word going around that Arriva are withdrawing from route 2 Liverpool-Chester in September, route 2 will solely be operated by Stagecoach.

The driver I spoke to said the QBP would continue on routes 471/472, but would finish on the Chester-Liverpool routes. The only reason I found out is that he was telling passengers with Arriva tickets that they wouldn't be valid on Stagecoach after a point in September.

Either that or the former X11. Another source on a different forum suggested that there were other "interesting" changes in the pipeline for September.

The Commanders won't be going anywhere until Speke gets new buses to replace them.

It has been Cancelled on VOSA so its defo happening

Services on the 52 are a mix of double and single deckers. I would say there are more singles on the route though.

On board notices have appeared on various Arriva services in the Chester area confirming this.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, Arriva withdrew from route 2, Chester-Liverpool as from 4 September. No alternative service has been started by Arriva which leaves a gap on the Wirral between the North Wales & Merseyside services.

Alternatives are to pay to use Stagecoach on the Wirral (as the Quality Partnership also ended on 4 September) or go via Runcorn/Warrington.
