I would disputethat - there always seem to be plenty at Eastcroft and Uttoxeter races gets three turns strengthened at the drop of a hat.
I have the impression that both EMT and SWT have relatively low planned availability - hence their 158's golden spanners as they dont fail sat on Salisbury.
Excellent.
I trust this put the Class 230 idea for a certain line in file 13?

No. This is effectively emergency cover for the summer season for the loss of 170204 in the crash at Roudham. Not expected to be a long term thing.
That's no doubt why only that part of the turn was quoted - as the first 158 dies for the day off the 1911 arrival...
If AGA do only want something short term, there are a number of 172s largely rusting to the rails at LOROL, be interesting to know how long the conversion course from a 170 would be.
The 172s, how different are they from the original 170s, which is obviously what AGA has. Could crews and Crown Point operate and maintain them with any changes or retraining? Obviously while the driving of the 68s is a slight point Crown Point and conductors all sign and work with Mk2s.
Also, toilets. Do the 172s have loos? I could see them being very unpopular plonked on Cambridges or the East Suffolk if they don't. Are they still 90mph units?

Is there any reason loco-hauled stock isn't assigned to one of the Breckland Line diagrams? Is this to do with acceleration / timing / short turnarounds in Cambridge and Norwich?
Loco speed restrictions on the Breckland would kill the timings, Wherry Lines are 60mph max any ways with only one loco restriction over a bridge between Postwick and Brundall Gardens so the locos can operate on sprinter timetables.

However does the 37 Short Set still have extra padding in it compared to the normal sprinter service?
Sam
Yes, the current short set still has about 3-5m padding
Reliably informed that blue/grey mk2s will be heading for service in Anglia next week. 37s or 68 set to be confirmed.
The Blue-Grey set, now sat looking very fancy in the Low Level sidings at Norwich is going with the 68s to replace the Anglia Mk2s.
Only for a short time though I believe to cover for the Anglia coaches exams. Interior equally as bad but without wheelchair space. Outside paint job is good on close inspection though.
Any chance of Riviera fixing the HVAC/aircon whilst the set is on maintenance, or are they going to leave it untouched to demonstrate yet again their utter contempt for anyone who has the misfortune to use one of their rancid contraptions?
If I was betting I would go for the latter of those two options.... Unfortunately.
