I'm not overly familiar with the training that train drivers undertake but I have no doubt that it's comprehensive and to a high standard, but I see this "electric trains stop here" sign at the end of one of the platforms at Walsall station and can't help but wonder whose benefit it is there for?
Surely no electric train would be routed this way anyway and therefore no driver would have any reason to proceed past this point?
Route knowledge would surely involve knowledge like this?
