Just so you have sommet decent to ride on. Cotswold Rail aren't selling and 47s, and you need more than "a load of stuff" to run a train service. And 153s and 156s are awfully worn now.
jesus how many times do I have to say that it's not that I'm wanting something decent to ride on, I really couldn't care less if it was voyagers at the moment, because it's so bloody awful. And also, CR are considering selling 2 of their class 47s.
Dunno what your gen source is, but they are not
I have just travelled on the 1452 Lime Street-Norwich as far as Stockport and had a table to myself all through the journey. Wasn't the only spare table either.
RAIL 597 said:Cotswold Rail is willing to part with two class 47/8s as it looks to move further into the freight market. Managing director Adrian Parcell told RAIL he would consider dispensing with 47813 'John Peel' and 47818 'Emily' in favour of boosting his freight fleet. "Hiring class 56s would be an option - even 66s", he said, reffering to the ten class 66/4s due to be sent off-lease by DRS later this year.'

...and what does the name of said magazine read backwards? Think about it...
LIAR.
The deal is off. Nuff said.
If RAIL lied all the time, do you think they'd be amongst the most well known and most well bought rail mags in the UK?
well excuse me for trusting a reliable source, as they were speaking directly to the CR Managing Director!
Both EMT & HT trains are restricted to the slow line, which is unfair as the Pioneers are rated for 110, and are on the fast lines through peterborough but stop at Grantham.
In summary, no
The Adelantes are locked down. There is only a rake of Mk3's that can be found from the stock that has not been ringfenced for NXEC.
new HSTs??
I was reading in the paper a few days ago that apparently all Manchester-Sheffield trains will make a stop at Hazel Grove, so that the passengers/station can have a much better benefit for the 'Station Travel Plans' facilities that are to be put into place as a pilot scheme for certain stations.
I can see why, would probrably be good for the TPE ones, less pax at Stockport (and they always end up stopping around that area anyway whilst waiting for a path into Stockport), but I don't think the EMT services should stop. Already busy as they are, and have a long cross country route to keep up on trains that constantly keep failing. They don't need the hassle of stopping again and adding more to what is already a long journey.
