Speaking of VTEC, my partner received an email last week offering her two free first class single tickets as a "thank you" for travelling with VTEC so much throughout the year.

Which is ironic, as I've all but stopped travelling with them as their prices have gone up so much over the past year and a bit - I'm now an easyjet regular

Agreed, although I wish the "no departures before 11am" rule would be relaxed for Sundays.

Given that it's less than half the price of the Super Off-Peak, I suspect it highly unlikely that anyone would have signed it off without more restrictions, so as to reduce revenue abstraction!
As a point of historical interest, NFM94 (September 2006) gives the Just15 restrictions as:
- By any train except those timed to arrive at London Terminals before 1300.
- By any train from London Terminals between 1100 and 1500, and from 1905.
Restrictions applied seven days a week, and break of journey was not permitted on the outward journey.

I think Kite's point was more that of course one expects more restrictions than the Super Off-Peak to be in place when they're at their more restrestricted M-F, but as the normal Super Off-Peak isn't restricted at the weekend it's curious that this ticket still is in the same way as the rest of the week.
One imagines the reason this promotion is being run is because Chiltern have faces stiff competition since the introduction of West Midlands - London (IWC) Super Off-Peak tickets, which you're annoyingly required to accept
These are only slightly more expensive than the normal Chiltern Super Off-Peak but do employ different restrictions at the weekend.

I bought one of those Chiltern deals for Sunday (coming back Monday) this morning, picking them up this afternoon. They came out of the TVM in Hereford as Advance Singles, marked £15 each but the receipt confirmed £15 total. There's also no booked train on either one (as I hadn't chosen one), but marked Chiltern only.

Yes it looks as though Nottingham is at the southernmost extreme of the Northern network.

Yes, the Northern offer does stretch as far south as Nottingham and of course Lincoln too. Unfortunately, Northern very rarely make tokens available in any Nottinghamshire newspapers south of Worksop.
I wrote to Northern early last year about how their tokens were not available for their customers in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire and just once in May last year tokens appeared in the Nottingham Post. Unfortunately that doesn't appear to have been repeated.

The £15 offer on SWT is returning for travel between 26th Jan and 30th Apr (excluding 15th Feb - 21st Feb, and 24th Mar - 28th Mar). Must be booked by midnight the day before travel. Valid off-peak only but no geographical restriction on the West of England line this time.
No further Railcard discount. Adult £15 return, child £5. Valid on SWT services only.
Only available on flows where the CDR (Off-Peak Day Return) is set by SWT. Not available where a CDR fare does not exist.

Well I've just booked a Scotrail Club 50 Flat Fare £16 Return from Falkirk to Kyle of Lochalsh for tommorrow - I've heard it's positively tropical up there at the moment !!!
Just time to check out the Museum at the Station and have something to eat as I come back on the same day.

This is a new restriction for that offer, I think? Previous incarnations were available as "turn up and go" from ticket machines.

IIRC there has been similar SWT day returns offers which needed to be booked at least the day before. Saves the hassle of turning on the "Route SWT Only" fares onto the TVMs (although I bet some ticket offices won't like it if it is online only).
Usual restriction I'm assuming coming out of London during the evening (i.e. barred from 16:00 to 19:00)?
