No ferry journeys give you CIV protection.
They certainly used to. Has the ability to issue CIV through journeys including a ferry journey gone now? I guess it must have done.
I'm 99% sure that at least some of the Irish ferries have CIV protection as I remember seeing it on at least one of my tickets.I'm not sure about the ferries to Eire, but none of the channel ferries do. The Calais day ticket is not considered an international journey, and there are no other rail+ferry tickets.
