The website is finally online and is taking shape with lots of useful information including special 4 train timetable! Click HERE to go to the site.

Unfortunately the links on the left of the page (to the timetable, fares, etc) don't appear to work.

Has the Wensleydale track been bought up to scratch yet?
Thats an awful lot of 100 ton locos running around!

The links were OK earlier but they could be a few teething problems I suppose. As for the track sleepers are constantly being replaced and after a 12 hour shift 30 sleepers were replaced the other week upping the speed limit to 25mph. More money is required to complete this work but progress is steady.

Just to save you looking at the gala website I will post the news here as well. Due to technical difficulties (I believe it to be a brake issue) 50007 'Sir Edward Elgar' will be unable to attend Wensleydale Railway's Inaugural Diesel Locomitve Gala on the 20th & 21st of September. At the time of writing a replacement locomotive is being soruced and news will be posted as soon as the state of play becomes apparent. It is with great sadness that this news is announced as 50007 was set to be a great loco. to run service trains . Lets hope the replacement is equally good! :? :?
