Living in Cumbria, the introduction of 37s on the coast line has re-awakened my interest, and as I have a couple of trips to London coming up I am planning to improve both track coverage and red lining of London Overground units and also FGW HSTs before they are replaced. I have a few queries on ticketing and wondered if anyone could help please.
Thames Branches Day Ranger.
Says that this is valid on FGW between London Paddington and Reading, but does this include using them on the HSTs or only the local units?
London Overground.
I have an Oyster card, that I am planning on using, and am starting to put together some moves lists, predominantly LO but there will be a few others too. I wondered if you have to touch in and out at each station, as some of them I will only be on the train for one stop, and on the ELL for example am planning on doing each train one stop then waiting for the next. The idea being to do as many units as I can in as short a time as possible, However this means some short stops and platform changes but if you have to go in and out then this would be impractical. Am I better just buying a one day travel card instead>
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks
