Heathrow Terminal 4 and the points. <D

Next leg to start at Hayes & Harlington.

That's fair enough, I guess.

Southall

Very well... next leg to start at Heathrow Central.

At the start of a game, the OP(at the very beginning or if necessary) or the player who previously ended a leg of the journey, will choose a starting station (unless the player has called an open floor, in which any player can choose a starting station) that adheres to the following criteria:

It is on NR rails (or Merseyrail)
Please may I call for an adjudication on this starting station please. My understanding is that the line from Airport Junction to the airport is owned by BAA, so the three Heathrow stations are not on NR metals.

Apologies for the Warblington mess earlier, I have struck through the offending posting.

I thought that we'd been down the Heathrow Airport branch before. However, searching the thread the only visit I can find was during a brief period when a temporary Yuletide rule change allowed us to use TfL stations as well.

If we are abiding by the letter of the rules then Heathrow Airport stations are not allowed because they are owned by the Airport rather than a TOC or Network Rail.

Personally, however, I think the reference to being on "NR rails (or Merseyrail)" in the rules is to prevent us from using London Underground, Manchester MetroLink, Croydon Trams and similar systems, or Heritage lines. I would not include Heathrow Airport in this prohibition, as it is a 'mainline' rail service which runs to a published timetable which is included in full in the GBPTT.

I'm perfectly happy to go with the consensus, but perhaps whatever consensus we reach should be reflected specifically in the rules for future reference.

Having had time to consider matters, it does appear that clagmonster was totally correct in his objection to the use of Heathrow Central as a starting station for the reason that he stated in his objection, which indeed is part of the rules AND SHOWN AS SUCH

I have now struck-through both my postings of Hayes and Harlington and of West Ealing.

backontrack needs to strike-through his posting of Southall

Quakkerillo needs to strike-through his postings of Southall and of Acton Main Line

DasLunatic needs to strike-through his postings of Hanwell and of Ealing Broadway.

****************************************************************************************************************************

I have sent PM on this matter to:-

clagmonster
backontrack
Quakkerillo
DasLunatic

*****************************************************************************************************************************

Then when all this has been done, DasLunatic then needs to strike-through his leg-starting posting of Heathrow Central and to replace it with a new leg-starting station.

THIS NEW LEG SHOULD NOT BE RE-COMMENCED UNTIL ALL THE ABOVE HAVE BEEN MADE.

I concur with Paul & Clagmonster. I note all stations have been struck-through and so await DasLunatic's starting station for the next leg.

Erm, I didn't.

I posted the potential leg-winning post, but then it turned out that Paul Sidorczuk had played Hayes and Harlington had been played, so I struck it through.

I added Southall after this to make the post valid; I was not aware of any posting you made, but it's possible that I edited mine while you were making yours, and that mine changed first. Either way, I certainly did not cheat! <(

Thanks, guys - all postings seem to now have been struck through. Apologies for being the last to do so.

It is now up to DasLunatic to post a new leg-starter.

Parly...?

Out of curiosity, which service is this on? I normally work from projectmapping all-stations map, which clearly shows a line here, but I can't find any train that does this on RTT. The (often wrong) wiki also says the curve is currently not served by trains.

This used to see 3-4 trains a day (2 to London, 1 from); but, currently, PSUL only shows this:

Beckenham Junction - New Beckenham (204) WC01
Mondays to Fridays from 12 January 2015:
1Y02 0450 Tonbridge - Charing Cross

I also checked the Hayes timetable and nothing starts or finishes short at New Beckenham (which would suggest such a move) so, you are right, no services run in the direction required at this time. Please can all strike through from New Beckenham.

FYI, 2013 showed this:
Beckenham Junction - New Beckenham (203/204) WC01
1Y02 0452 SSuX Tonbridge - Charing Cross
2Y92 1612 SSuX Beckenham Junction - Charing Cross
2Y86 0015 MX Charing Cross - Tonbridge
2Y91 0903 SSuX Cannon Street - Beckenham Junction

and 2014 showed this:
Beckenham Junction - New Beckenham (203/204) WC01
Mondays to Fridays:
1Y02 0452 Tonbridge - Charing Cross
2Y92 1612 Beckenham Junction - Charing Cross
2Y86 0015 MX Charing Cross - Tonbridge
2Y91 0902 Cannon Street - Beckenham Junction
Saturdays and Sundays:
2Y86 0015 Charing Cross - Tonbridge
