What are you planning for 2015?

March and still not done a single mile by train as yet.

Two trips fully planned and mostly paid for though.

First a 5 day trip to the NE, out via London, back via Manchester. Day taking phots at Donny, Tyne Tees day ranger, TT metro day ticket and GMPTE day rover on the way home.

Second a 9 day trip to Scotland. 2 days up, 5 days there, 2 days back.
South Pennines day ranger, KWVR, WYPTE day ticket, Edinburgh trams, 3/7 central rover, Strathclyde Daytripper, another GMPTE day ticket on the way home.

By the end of those 2 I should require b****r all track North of Hambleton.

Third will probably be another 9 (poss 10) day trip doing NE and NW 4/8 rovers to do the Cumbrian loco hauleds and NYMR diesel weekend. Subject to change depending on what they actually use on the Cumbrians. If they don't use tractors then it might just be a day ranger and a 7 day NE.

That leaves me one free week later this year to do something not yet decided on.

2016 might involve IOM. or possibly a short trip to Ireland, not been there since it went plastic.

I might cross over to the IOW on a Sunday at some point in the next few weeks, I believe the current blockade is ended. I fancy a return to some 483 action

Managed 2 and 3. Doing 8 on Wednesday/Thursday and 1 unit away from clearing 168s.

Sure hope 37s produce on the Cumbrian turns, although I'd also be happy with 20s. 57/0s I'd also do but not for the full distance, I need all but 57012 (do DRS even have 57/0s?) so would be happy to get those down a bit!

I started counting the number of forum members we have listed as attending these events so far, I got to 60 and then found it too difficult to keep count. But we'd like to make that figure even higher, up to 70 or more..maybe even 100?

There's a lot of people who contribute (or simply read) this section, and we'd like to hear from you.

Even if it's just meeting us between, say Edinburgh and Falkirk when we do the Chieftain! (no excuses if you're reading this, butts!)

Didn't occur to me that they might use 20s because of the need for heat. But if they go top and tail (highly likely for at least one of the turns due to lack of DBSOs), then heat is only needed on one end. I think that would need a man in the back loco though when the 20s are on the front for safety reasons.

It's more likely they'll use 47s than 20s mind, but if they do I expect the gen groups will go into meltdown Only a couple of months to go until we find out exactly what the game plan is!

Just noticed elsewhere that 37s are doing driver training runs to Yarmouth and Lowestoft. A 3 day Anglia plus stopoff in London may well take care of my last spare week this year.
