That's fair enough. We've all hit that point at various times, I think my last time was documented well enough on here!
Seriously though, in case anyone's forgotten, I went through several weeks of not wanting to go near the railway, in a bid to be a 'norm' but I eventually worked my way back onto here a couple of times a week, then it became a few times a day. After about 2 months I couldn't resist any longer, I had to get out on a bash. Sure enough, 2.5 months after trying to get away from the railway (it's worth pointing out I'd attempted to do this several times in the past, but it's never worked out and never for that long!), I was loving it again and spent forever during the rest of the year playing catch up!
My point is that you'll most likely find it's just a phase you're going through. If it helps, it's normally been the winter period when I've started losing interest in the railway in the past. Perhaps you just need a few weeks away from it to revive your interest, or experiment with another sector of the hobby?
As for this thread itself, I'm not going to type up the long list of plans for 2015 again so I'm copy-pasting it from my trip reports thread. Apologies to those who've therefore already read it!

As I've mentioned, some of these will be repeated at least once, for example the WMDR. I'm due off work for a week in February, which I need to double check as soon as I can, so a few of these plans will be getting knocked off the list in one trip. Which ones I will do I have no idea, although I have spent a fair bit of time this evening saving a copy of the various maps onto the laptop in a bid to make a firmer plan. Hotel availability will play a big part in what goes on when I suspect!
Without a doubt there will be other stuff that comes up too, for example I plan to have a major shack attack on c2c, but sadly there's no day ranger for that.
Of course, before all that the rest of the festive season needs to be got out of the way first, then the first trip of 2015 on 5th January will be here! That needs proper planning ASAP!

but I have to admit I'm not all that keen on going long-distance for units solo. Silly question but has there ever been such a thing as a gathering of people out for travelling just for the sake of it?
This forum has a healthy population of members who regularly do forum meets, although it should be noted this population has decreased significantly from years gone by. I don't know what most people do on meets these days, but we've had some classic and fantastic trips in the past as a group. I'm sure a good few people will remember the meet to do the Bristol to Brighton 31s in October half term 2004, as well as the monster meet over 3 days using Megabus each way from London to Glasgow and back in November 2004. There was of course the excellent Hereford HST meet in 2005, when HST-operated services were threatened at the time. We've also had that rather excellent Strathclyde Daytripper meet in 2006. February 2006 also brought us the diverted Caledonian Sleeper to Oban meet, I can still feel the cold wind on my face while taking photos! As well as the return to London and the HST from Edinburgh to York, with the diversion via Stockton, that day. Ahhhhh, memories...
I don't do forum meets anymore, free time is almost non-existant and I'm not within walking distance of a railway these days either. It does occur to me that it's been quite some years since any of us met for a proper bash, does it even happen these days?
Point is that it sure used to happen, and said trips are some that I hold fond memories of. As for being nervous about heading to 'foreign territory' for a bash, that's part of the fun! I knew very little about the railways of Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg when I did my Benelux InterRail in 2013, or when I made my first visit to Brussels in January 2013. That was an experience that made me slightly nervous, more so once I was away from the safety of the Eurostar, but it's one way to very quickly learn stuff! I had no regrets during the trip, except that I should have done it years ago, it was an excellent experience!
Broaden your horizons, ditch the shackles of your comfort zone, get out there and enjoy something a little different! I'm doing just that on my next trip to the East Midlands, I might have covered it all already but I still class it as 'foreign territory' as I know little about it. I feel more at home in Luxembourg than I do on an EMT service! Still, I need to get on with it and fill my books so I'm planning an enormous adventure there at some point in 2015!

). I did two more Daytrippers, a Great Escape, along with a Z1-6 weekly season which I got for cheaper than my usual Z1-5 thanks to delay repay 
). It was to cover as many branches in the Z1-6 area as possible, although I didn't get that much done somehow. One day also had a really early start with a 2tph night bus (at least it didn't include a no-show, which I had the following time, the second out of a max of 10 journeys in 18 months).
