Remind me of them when you're in the area next I shall look out for them!

At least you won't be looking out for 150235 again!:lol::lol:

I'm finally getting on with posting my winners from Techniquest's Anglo-Swede Bash, about time too really as that trip started well over 3 weeks ago!

14th November 2014

Ryanair's EI-DCZ (yes I know that's a plane but I'm counting it!)

Ryanair's EI-DCZ

It's also worth noting that I didn't get every unit in the formation on some of the moves, and it wasn't a trip spent doing much on the rails as such, using the Tunnelbana just as a way of getting around. We didn't really do much on the Green Lines either. If it had been a proper cranking trip, the lists above would have been very much longer!

Total for 2014 thus far: 609 (611 when including the two Ryanair planes, and if I was to include this year's buses, or even this year's coaching stock scores, the numbers would be significantly higher)

One recent update that I forgot about. Got my last 318 - 318264 - while up in Scotland the day after I got all the 170/4s. It turned up completely by chance on the Cumbernauld - Motherwell shuttle.

Also slowly but gradually I am closing in on both the 1972 and 1973 stock, with four remaining of the former and 29 of the latter. That 29 might seem a high number, but considering that I have yet to spend any significant amount of time doing the 1973 stock and there are 173 of them, that I consider good progress.

I am rather surprised by how well things are going with ScotRail. I think I only have 5 158s, 2 320s, 4 334s, 11 156s and 3 380/1s left. The 380/0s are still virtually untouched yet but that is all that is remaining of the entire fleet I am still to do.

Doing very well there then! I'm hoping for some rather good luck when I head north of the border on Saturday (well, Sunday and Monday I'm there), as I still have a lot of EMUs to get in the book up there. Any 156s, 158s and 170s I happen to score when I'm up there will be a massive bonus but I'm having focus on EMUs and station scores!

150235 avoided you so much haha, I think it thought you had Ebola!

Had a look on Flickr at the SL Metro, looks a nice system to be fair!

It is a great system aye, very frequent and modern (the older 1974 stock was barely seen on the trip at all, almost all the newer 2004 trains) and puts other countries' Metro systems to shame!

The first time I checked what I have had for haulage, and I think that it is alright, considering that I started collecting numbers for haulage at the middle of last year, all except the FGW, EMT, GC and EC HSTs, which are all time.

Please note: This is what I have had, not what I require.

AGA - 4 (2x321, 2x90)
ATW - 21 (8x150, 5x158, 8x175) Not including the 67s.
C2C - 2 (2x357)
CR - 20 (3x165, 16x168, 1x172) Not including 67s
XC - 16 (10x43, 6x170)
EC - 10 (9x43, 1x91)
EMT - 20 (17x43, 3x153)
ES - 0
FGW - 77 (77x43)
FHT - 0
TPE - 3 (3x185)
GC - 1 (1x43) Had it when it was GNER.
GN - 2 (2x365)
HC - 0
HE - 0
IL - 0
LM - 46 (1x 153, 3x170, 11x172, 4x323, 27x350)
LO - 6 (1x172, 5x378)
MR - 13 (7x507, 6x508)
NR - 1 (1x156)
SR - 0
SWT - 10 (2x450, 4x455, 2x458, 1x444)
SE - 8 (1x395, 7x465)
SN - 10 (10x377)
TL - 9 (6x319, 2x377)
VT - 19 (19x390)

Hopefully Chiltern, London Midland and maybe even First Great Western will change on Thursday, as I am doing a WMDR.

Also, what is best for getting lots of 323s and maybe 170s for haulage, Birmingham New Street-Aston/Duddeston or Birmingham New street to University/Five Ways.

Thanks!

I would say BHM-University as no 170s call at Five Ways or Aston. Maybe in the early morning/late evening services for Aston mind, which has happened before.

323s every 10 minutes and hourly XC 170s and hourly LM 170s too at University, can't go far wrong!

Which GC power car did FGW previously have? I'm not aware of any with Grand Central that FGW have had use of!

University sounds good then!

With the 43, I meant GNER not FGW, that being 43067! Sorry.

43167 is now 43367, which is not a Grand Central machine! Unless of course something's changed in the last few months!

Yes I would definitely recommend University to New Street and vice-versa leaps, done quite a few 323s that way!

Hi Guys,

Right I think I am now ready to post my red pens for the beginning of the month, so here goes.

1st December
Today I set off without a real plan as to where I was going, I thought about heading off to the West Midlands on a XC from Piccadilly but decided to wait until I got there to decide. On arriving at Piccadilly there was a XC 221 in that I needed but had about 20 minutes before it was due to depart to consider other possibilities. Then I heard there was cable Vandalism around Ordsall Lane so heading North was out of the question but then I saw a Northern 142 that I required and as I was feeling a bit sadomasochistic today I opted for the Northern 142, although I am not a big 220/221 fan either. So today turned out to be one of those days when I got somewhere and then jumped on the next train that I needed, although some where out to minor . Kind of worked as well as you will see below.

Thanks to all you guys who replied to one of my earlier posts asking whether I should do c2c or FGW on this day. I kind of went with bb21 suggestion of going to do the FGW 43's, but like he stated it got tedious. There is only so many trips you can do between London, Reading and Swindon before you start falling asleep. So I spent mid-morning to mid-afternoon riding the 43's then went across the other side of London to knock off some c2c's during the peak, thanks Samuelmorris for that bit of advise

Today I thought I would try and head off to the West Midlands and see if I can get any of the XC 170 and knock off a few more LM 350 plus anything else I could get my hands on. It turned out to be a bit of a slower day than the previous two. Have to say Birmingham New Street is still a dark and miserable place, hopefully that will improve when the construction work is complete and at the moment it is so easy to get lost on the concourse area. It is like a rabbit warren.

My fourth and final day of my December Big Bash. Although we know that some of the 319's are heading to Northern I realised my 319 bashes where fairly thin also with the withdrawal over the next few years of the 313's out of Moorgate and yet a gain big gaps in my lists I thought a day down that part of London will be a good day and I was not dissapointed.

A massive lot of wins there andyb2706! My list so far from the epic bash I'm currently on is much shorter, but then it's a Sunday so most of the trains are probably on depots today!

I'll have my full list posted by the end of next week, if not on Tuesday afternoon, but I'm making progress :)

Like TEW, my next to do list is the 442s, and today marks somewhat an attempt to tick more off. I managed to get 442407, 442413, 442414 and 442420. Only four trains out (8 units) running half-hourly but I am reasonably pleased - 7 to go.

Now waiting at Gatwick for my possible first taste of the new 387, and a winning 319 (004 - which would leave me with four remaining) seems to be following it one hour later. Gonna be a late night as that 319 will put me on the 2300 from St Pancake. Zzzzz....

I think I will have an evening of trying to bash the 442s when they are on regular Brighton runs, probably between Clapham & Victoria.

I'm attempting a Brighton-Bedford run next Sunday so hopefully I can get a couple extra 442s between Victoria & Gatwick (plus hopefully a couple winning EMT units, HST or 222s doesn't bother me)

Quite a few of the Thameslink services running as single 4 car units today.

If anyone is after a cheap way to get 442s in the best time to do them is Monday-Friday evenings when most Brighton fast services are 10-car 442s. I've managed to get all the 442s in with only catching a Gatwick Express service twice, and that was deliberately to clear my last unit quickly.

Winning units from my long weekend in Manchester/Lancaster/London:

Thursday:
Cross Country - 220003; 220011 (Yes I used XC from Basingstoke to Stockport changing at Birmingham, I wanted the track linking the Chiltern line to Camp Hill lines when XC go via Warwick and was cheaper than going via Virgin)

Friday:
FTPE:
185114, 350404 & 350409

Northern:
142036; 150103; 150110; 150148; 150205; 323232

Virgin:
390141

Metrolink
3014; 3016; 3026; 3038; 3044; 3053; 3056; 3058; 3068; 3076; 3088 & 3092 (Wasn't out to collect units, but for coverage)

Saturday:
FTPE:
185103; 185107; 185120; 185147; 185151; 350405

Merseyrail:
507002; 507008; 507016; 507019; 507024; 508115 (100% winners!)

Northern:
142060; 142087; 150145; 150147; 153301 (special mention to 47818 & 47853)

Virgin:
221104; 221115; 390047; 390112; 390122 (another 100% winners)

Sunday:
Chiltern:
165022; 165023 (2 winning Chiltern Turbos, blimey)

FGW:
165112; 165120; 165130; 166216 (4 winning Turbos on an Ealing run, excellent result)

Great Northern:
313028; 313033; 313032; 313039; 313062; 365508 (2 duds out of 8 doing Finsbury runs, good win-rate, another all single units)

Greater Angila:
379025; 379027 (One of these Sundays I will focus my attention onto Liverpool Street)

London Midland:
350110; 350253 (Managed to time a Harrow run in, caught 253 from P3)

London Overground:
172001; 172002; 172004; 172006; 172007 (All 8 172s covered!), 378227; 378232 (anybody suggest any good station pairs on the NLL/ELL core for 378 bashing, mainly with good access to get to the other platform quickly?)

Southeastern:
465020; 465039; 465242 (3 out of 4 isn’t a bad networker score using the “jump on what is first” method between Waterloo East & Charing Cross)

SWT:
444037; 450080; 450093; 450099; 450100; 450120; 450567; 455852 (Another good result from the 'jump on what be first' method, add in a dud 444, a dud 455/9 & couple 450s)

Thameslink:
319430; 319446; 377208; 377510; 377513 (somehow caught dud 319371 twice, doh!, all bar 1 was single units)
