Past experience tells me there's a 1/3 chance of the meeting being cancelled.Just for info, Northern are holding a "meet the manager" session at Bolton station tomorrow morning between 0730 & 0900 That's if they turn up of course !

Indeed, I can't for the life of me understand why they've chosen Wilmslow over Manchester. More people would be able to stop by on their way to work. Whereas having it in Wilmslow is out of the way for the masses.Where do they come up with the places to do it? I appreciate it's about meeting a station manager but Swinton? They would get far more feedback from sending someone to say Doncaster (EC) or Sheffield (EMT), surely if the idea is about 'showing face' they'd go to reasonably important stations?

Quite! I think PF helped somewhat in bringing about these meetings, myself and a few others I know have quite a few things to take Northern to task on (their CR dep aren't too useful) and they felt the best way would be to meet a manager face to face.If they did show which is unlikely, I bet most staff and punters would like to 'connect' with them.![]()
Station manager has more time on their hands at rural stations? Or perhaps its just community outlook seeking opinions away from metropolitan areas.
