As interesting as these past few journeys have been, in an area that I don't believe we've explored before on this game, I must admit I am starting to feel as if we are in a vicious triangle running between Kettering, Wellingborough and Northampton, and all the various little towns and villages in between, so, in a desperate attempt to get out of this said triangle, we next board the 1346 Stagecoach in Northamptonshire service X1 to Corby (George Street), arriving there at 1439 on Friday afternoon.

Also - just out of interest, how do other members who participate in this game plan their onward moves? For me, I use Google Maps and find the bus stop, then click on it and see the routes served. Then I use Traveline and the full list of bus stops for a said service.

I am reasonably fortunate to run the Closed Stations Journey quiz, so geographical knowledge of local areas, many of which were once rail-served, is second nature to me, as a certain forum member who shall go un-named found out to his cost on the original quiz when I called upon my knowledge of the Wick and Lybster Light Railway to cause an outbreak of "Lybster Omnibus Syndrome".........On the current series of journeys, you will be aware that I used Earls Barton as a destination. I'm more comfortable in rural areas than urban ones

We then call it a day and check into a hotel for the night where we have a lovely sleep, but we don't have a lie in as we take the first northbound service of the day from Totnes, which is 1S37, the 0525 CrossCountry service to Leeds, arriving there at 1100 on Saturday morning.

This affords us the opportunity to see one of the three "Yealand" villages in the area, so walking to the bus stop outside the railway station, we board the 1039 Stagecoach in Lancaster service 51 to Yealand Conyers (outside the Quaker Hall building) that arrives there at 1049 on Sunday morning
