Having arrived at such a late time, we wait for the first tram outwards and board the 0500 Blackpool Tramway to Rossall Beach tram stop that arrives there at 0542 on Wednesday morning.

The next tram at 0612 takes us to Fisherman's Walk, Blackpool Tramway, Fleetwood arriving at 0622 Wednesday morning

We next decide to take a bus ride from this location to an area famous for its creek area on the River Wyre (and its "2 for 1" Spirit Inn's Thornton Lodge eating establishment), where my wife's eldest sister lives, so we board the 0636 Preston Bus service 75 to Skippool (Thonton Lodge) that arrives there at 0656 on Wednesday morning.

We take another Preston Bus 75 at 0736, travelling to Preston opp rail station arriving at 0835 Wednesday morning.

We then board the 0858 VT service to Warrington Bank Quay arriving at 0919 on Wednesday morning.

We next board the 0926 ATW service to Holyhead that arrives there at 1122 on Wednesday morning.

We then head on over to the bus station and board the 1836 First in South and West Wales service 36 to Aberkenfig (Square), arriving there at 1858 on Wednesday evening.

We leave the railway station and walk to the bus stop on Church Street where we board the 1836 First South and West Wales service to Bridgend bus station that arrives there at 1913 on Wednesday evening.

We return northwards on the 36 at 1934 for the short ride to Tondu Llynfi Arms, arriving at 1937 Wednesday evening

Wishing to see what the terminal destination has to offer, we then board the 2037 First in South and West Wales service 36 to Cymmer (Turning Circle) that arrives there at 2116 on Wednesday evening.

We then board the 2124 First Cymru service 36 to Bridgend (Bus Station), arriving there at 2216 on Wednesday evening.

The shuttle service to Glyncorrwg has given up for the day, (looks a strange service) so we do an about turn, leaving Cymmer on the 36 at 2124 and travelling to Bridgend bus station, where we arrive at 2215 Wednesday evening

We take the First Cymru X2 service at 2220 to Cowbridge Town Hall, arriving at 2237 Wednesday evening

There are no more X2 services out of Cowbridge for the rest of the day, so we call it a night before boarding the 0658 First Cymru service X2 to Cardiff (Windway Road), arriving there at 0731 on Thursday morning.

The X2 doesn't appear to pick up at that stop, so we change services to Cardiff Bus 18 and depart at 0744 to Cardiff Wood Street arriving at 0800 Thursday morning

There are no more X2 services out of Cowbridge for the rest of the day

There was one back to Bridgend but I won't be picky over it

As I said before, I got all of this, but I just found it most bizarre that the timetable for the 555 was the same on BOTH the Traveline North West and Traveline Cumbria site, with the exception of the two stops in Naddle, so ultimately it wouldn't have mattered which site I used.

Entering Waun-Gron Park station, we board the 0944 ATW service to Radyr that arrives there at 0957 on Thursday morning.

We then board 2J06, the 1010 Arriva Trains Wales service to Pontypridd, arriving there at 1029 on Thursday morning.

We then board 2E28, the 1138 Arriva Trains Wales service to Rhoose (Cardiff International Airport), arriving there at 1311 on Thursday afternoon.

After gazing longingly at the sleek silver birds and the range of exotic destinations on offer, we come down to earth and take the 1340 Traws Cymru airport bus and travel to Cardiff Bay, Red Dragon Centre, arriving at 1410 Thursday afternoon

We then walk around the corner to Mermaid Quay and board the 1430 Cardiff Bus service 1 to Mynachdy (Cross Inn), arriving there at 1504 on Thursday afternoon.

We continue our journey on this circular service half an hour later at 1534 (roughly anyway) and travel to Splott, Ruperra Square, Ordell Street, arriving at 1618 Thursday afternoon

Walking to the bus stop on Courtney Road, we next board the 1634 Cardiff Bus service 11 to Pengam Green (Fford Pengam) that arrives there at 1646 on Thursday afternoon.

We cross the road to Tremorfa de Havilland Road and take the returning Cardiff bus 11 at 1652 and ride to Tremorfa, Cairnmuir Road, SW-bound, Tweedsmuir Road arriving at 1657 Thursday afternoon

Continuing our omnibus tour of Cardiff and its localised environs, we next board the 1712 Cardiff Bus 11 to Cardiff (Kingsway) that arrives at 1730 on Thursday evening.

We are weary of all these buses and Central station seems to be within easy walking distance, so we make our way there and take the 1812 ATW service to Gloucester arriving at 1920 on Thursday evening
