Hi pal. Are you still awaiting a medical. Also is there anyone else who has to give two months notice? If so that means we need to know within the next two weeks. I'm just wondering if the people who have already passed their medicals will start in January and the other candidates who are awaiting a medical start in March.

Hi mate I'm awaiting a medical, I'm really hoping I'm in January's, I don't have to give any notice as I own a company, what are you waiting on?

Do toc's generally use with-held or private numbers to get in touch with people?

Just got me thinking, if I missed a call and you couldn't chase up who called, you'd be pretty stuffed wouldn't you?

I hope so pal. I'm positive that as soon as you pass you're medical , you'll hear pretty swiftly. I'm hoping that no news is goodnews as some people have had letters saying they weren't successful. Its like being a kid waiting for santa to arrive. :D

Yeah I think no news is good news, and yeah I'm always checking for a letter and jumping when my phone rings, what depo are you hoping for? Would you relocate? I chose crewe for my first choice then said anywhere for my second, would prefer to stay near crewe as I won't have to move my family!

Hi dmd. When you say your waiting for a medical, do you know you've passed your DM interview or do you mean you hope you get a medical. Just wondering because I didn't realise they told you or not if you passes the interview. Can't see what the hold up is now to be honest. No more interviews so really thought we would know quickly. Doesn't sound like it tho.

Hi mate, yeah sorry for the confusion I don't know if I've failed the dm interview or not but with 12 weeks gone I really hope I get a medical! I don't see what the hold up is now, what are you waiting on?

Same stage as you pal. Had my DM in September though so not been waiting that long. Waited weeks though from my stage 2 to the DM stage. I think your right. If you've waited that long I think you'll get a medical. I'm praying for a phone call soon or a letter with good news. I know some people have had phone calls first at every stage. I have not had a single phone call all the way through, just had letters. Like you, I am praying I'm successful. The wait is agonising isn't it.

Hi guys, just to let you know, I had my medical on 25/9/14, got my results back a week later and have been confirmed on the March intake, was surprised I haven't got the chance sooner as everything seemed to be rushed to get me thru the medical! Can't wait to start the training. Good luck to all.

Congratulations, when did you have your DM interview and which depot will you be based at?

First of all well done and congratulations. The feeling must be great. The more I read on here the more I think that the ones among us who had interviews later were simply a formality and that the positions had already been filled before we even went for interview. I hope I'm wrong but if people are being allocated positions in March, surely the January intake is sorted and full!!

Not to sound like I'm having a moan but had my DM in June and not heard a thing!!!

I had my medical in july and not been offered anything yet. Iv not heard anyone be asked to start in jan yet either. I was told that its taking along time and everyone will hear asap. Not sure what to make about march being allocated first.

Not sure what's worse assuming I've failed a DM as not heard owt or being put through to medical and then left in limbo. Does seem odd no one has posted on here about a January place so far only March. Maybe it's just all running behind schedule.

It maybe because the January slots for that particular depot are full?

say depot X wants 6 drivers, they may take on 2 in Sept, 2 in Jan and 2 in March.

Hmmmm was curious about that myself. In earlier threads choo13 said it was for intermodal. As far as I knew the graduate scheme was for heavy haul. All people who have had posts n job offers appear to be midlands to the south. Has anybody received notice of a post for the north or Yorkshire area???

Not that I've heard. Not sure why they would rush the medical to start in march. Thats a long wait. Maybe intermodel is a different selection process. Let the paranoia begin ;)

From what I know/understand/been told:

- The application is for FLHH only
- FLHH want 50 new drivers
- Training starts in 3 sets: Mid Sept, Start of Jan & March
- I was told that the last batch of interviews was 22nd Sept - 8th Oct (ish)

I had my DM interview on 24th Sept, and I have heard nothing. I'm going to e-mail Laura tomorrow and see what she says, as she told me I would find out last week.

regards,
darryl

Let us know how you get on Darryl. Just to let you know she told me we would find out from this week onwards so I was just gonna be on edge until they let me know!!! It's hard though when you want it so bad isn't it.

Joey, you are not alone, I'm in the same situation as you!

Guess short of hearing direct from HR then posting and reading updates is our only info for now. Biff let me know if you get any calls or letters.

Thought it was more than 50 drivers needed.. More in the region of a 100 we heard taking into account drivers left, leaving for other TOCS/FOCs, retirements and future workload forecasts.

I thought there would be more but if there's only roughly 15 to a course and only 3 course dates been set to date doesn't look like it :( anyone else heard anything?
