We next board the 1110 National Express service 200 to Bristol bus station that arrives there at 1315 on Saturday afternoon.

I'm also VERY surprised you haven't complained about the fact we're back in Greater Manchester.....

It's actually me who (inwardly anyway) groans whenever we land up in Greater Manchester. I usually just sit quietly in the background until we get to somewhere more... well civilised is not the word, I'm sure the place is civilised. Comprehensible maybe.

To be fair many parts of Manchester are FAR from civilised, especially areas such as Moss Side and Wythenshawe but they're being developed!

We continue on Cotswold Green's 207 service at 1535 and travel to Sharpness opp Pier View Hotel, arriving at 1559 Saturday afternoon.

We then board the 1732 Cotswold Green service 207 to Falfield (The Huntsman), arriving there at 1749 on Saturday afternoon.

Getting to Bristol could be tricky but we give it a go by catching Travelines advertised No 310 departure to Thornbury at 1911 which drops us off at Thornbury, The Anchor (SW-bound): the time is 1921 Saturday

We take the 2 minute walk to the bus stop on Squireleaze where we board the 1931 First in Bristol, Bath and the West service 310 to Bristol bus station that arrives there at 2020 on Saturday evening.

We then take the National Express 532 coach at 2055 to Plymouth Bretonside bus station, arriving at 2335 Saturday evening

We see an X8 Traveline service so spurning trains we instead hop on the 2030 Traveline Southwest bus hopping off minutes later in Long Ashton (Warren Lane) at 2046 Saturday and consult the timetable

Indeed this is most definitely the case that you state.

I was able to trace a service leaving at 2359 on Saturday evening from Plymouth Bretonside bus station, but that was the National Express service 406 that arrives at Weston-super-Mare (Locking Road car park at the unearthly hour of 0310 on Sunday morning.

Anyone else with any further thoughts upon this matter ?

Not really anywhere we can continue to at this hour so we try and catch forty winks before boarding the 0800 First Bristol service W1 to Long Ashton (Angel Inn), arriving there at 0849 on Sunday morning.

Not too long to wait, considering it is a Sunday, so we next board the 1056 First in Bristol, Bath and the West service W7 to Worle (Magdalen Lane) that arrives there at 1129 on Sunday morning.

We seem to be going around in circles, so we head to a new location now as we board the 1231 First in Bristol, Bath and The West service W5 to Weston-super-Mare (Waterloo Street), arriving there at 1246 on Sunday afternoon.

We make our way to the Winter Gardens and take Crosville's 100 service at 1307 and ride to Sandbay Sand Road arriving at 1325 Sunday afternoon

I'm assuming this is a nice open top service

Time to move onto a new destination now, so we take the short walk to Oxford Street and board the 1454 First in Bristol, Bath and The West service W1 to Bristol (St Augustine's Parade), arriving there at 1600 on Sunday afternoon.

Which gives a comfortable conection with Traveline Southwest's 1613 departure of a number 40A bus which a few minutes later lets us off at Clifton Down, (Clifton Down Station). It is 1621 Sunday

Entering the railway station, we board the 1636 FGW service to Avonmouth that arrives there at 1647 on Sunday afternoon.

From McLaren Road, just opposite the station, we then board the 1718 First in Bristol, Bath and The West service 40A to Cribbs Causeway (Bus Station), arriving there at 1743 on Sunday afternoon.

We get the 1809 departure of the 75 bus to Hengrove getting off at Filton, Filton Church at 1824 Sunday intending to walk to the nearby Station only to discover, looking at the map again, it is nearly a mile so it is back to the timetables . . . .

We continue on our travels across Bristol as we board the 1854 First in Bristol, Bath and The West service 75 to Withywood (Sherrin Way), arriving there at 1939 on Sunday evening.

It's so nice to be in an area I know!

It appears that it is too late on a Sunday to use the 36 bus service, so once again we are forced to use the 75 service as we board the 1944 First in Bristol, Bath and the West service 75 to Broadmead (Haymarket) that arrives there at 2008 on Sunday evening.

Having had a good tour of Bristol, we decide it's time for a change of scenery and make the short walk to Bristol bus station to board the 2030 National Express service 040 to London, Hammersmith Bridge Road (Stop TC) arriving at 2235 on Sunday evening.

We then walk over to Hammersmith Bus Station and join the 2246 London United service 267 for an end to end journey all the way to Fulwell Bus Garage, where we arrive at 2321 on Sunday evening.

We take the short 3 minute walk to the bus stop on Sixth Cross Roads where we board the 2326 London Bus service 281 to Twickenham station that arrives there at 2332 on Sunday evening.
