We then board the 08:23 Northern service to Blackpool Pleasure Beach arriving there at 10:13 Monday Morning.
I am just biding my time, have no fear, then an outbreak of "Lybster Omnibus Syndrome" will most surely break out...![]()
They are obscure if you are not over familiar with the area and reliant on the not particularly user friendly local web sites - once you have worked out where you are, which one to use, and where you can get to those more expert (or maybe with better IT and/or local knowledge ) are several moves down the road.

We then board the 08:23 Northern service to Blackpool Pleasure Beach arriving there at 10:13 Monday Morning.
We then take the 1102 Blackpool tramway service from Central Pier to Fleetwood Ferry. arriving by 1146 on Monday.
Am I doing this right? :P
That is true in slightly more isloated areas but with Manchester it's such a big city so it's easy to work out and there are plenty of resources to help plan a journey![]()
We take the 2358 SWT service to Bracknell, arriving 0049 on Tuesday morning
Well I don't find it easy - maybe there's too much to choose from and many of those resources are (to me anyway) not very user friendly
but hey ho we are not there now![]()
We await the first train of the day and eventually board the 0550 SWT service to Winnersh Triangle that arrives at 0602 on Tuesday morning.
The next morning we take1S43 (XC) 0636 to Glasgow Central arriving at 18:11 Wednesday Evening.
Rather than to make this very long wait from the 2135 arrival (in the post previous to yours) to 0636 the following day, we should really seek any services that were available to use on Tuesday night.
We take the I minute walk from St Erth station to the nearest bus stop where we board the 2146 First in Devon and Cornwall service 17A to St Ives bus station that arrives there at 2204 on Tuesday evening.
Despite this Paul, we can only return on board the 2210 First Devon and Cornwall service 17A back to Penzance (Bus Station), arriving there at 2245 on Tuesday evening.
If there are no alternative services to anywhere, then we may as well take the Glasgow train because the journey to St Ives will be pointless otherwise.
Rules
[*]You should use the first available service to reach your destination after allowing for the minimum interchange time.
I do not dispute your logic and I am most certainly not going to cause any upset over my understanding of the rules that appertain to this particular quiz but the fact that I made one posting and you then made another posting, both of which concern available bus services that were still running on Tuesday evening just goes to show that my posting was indeed a valid one.
[*]You shouldn't wait for more than two hours after the first available service (to any destination) has left, after allowing for the minimum interchange time.
