Why are Manchester United and Newcastle United given their full name, but West Ham United aren't?

how come the Toon is #1?
I remember reading an article which said that in the UK, 51% of people who actively supported a team (i.e. go to the match) supported a team outside of the prem. The poll results so far seem to be about in line with this. Obviously perception can be skewed by TV coverage who naturally concentrate on the prem.Sheffield Wednesday. Unbelieveably people do support sides out the Prem too![]()
Guess...
I am the solitary fan of Hyde on the forum.......but at least I keep their profile raised on the Football thread.
Oldham Athletic is my "league" club that I have connections with for 50 years (I believe that familyguy99 also supports them and makes regular postings about them on the Football thread).
Wigan Athletic....FA Cup holders (till Saturday at least)
So we appear to have a large Newcastle contingency finding this thread. More than double the next team for votes!
More than double the next premiership team. Out of the 30 and rising 'others' there may be competition for top spot.
Yeah, I was kind of wondering about the more than double part when 7 isn't more than 2 times 4. And there could be a good 20 or so Bradford City fans in that other category.
when commented Newcastle were on 7, next was 3 discounting other. Newcastle now on 8, with next at 4, so still double.
