There was a Solo up on the ramp and another tucked away in the back corner of St Andrews depot today. Noticed a Trident on a 99C, hope the wind doesn't get up along the Tay, and an Oly, I think 16166 had 94 St Andrews on the display, probably still sitting there from an early run from Balmullo, dont fancy an Oly would cope to well around Lindores and up to the back of Newburgh

What are the building work and scaffolding at St Andrews? just re-roofing it?

Arbroath oly 16881 made a rare appearance on a 39 dundee to arbroath working yesterday as I saw it at claypotts junction on the A92 in dundee at 0915 heading to arbroath. 16883 was on a 27 arbroath to forfar working on tuesday as i saw at arbroath bus station at 1455.

Dundee oly 16771 makes a extremely unusual appearance on a 73B to monifieth. How often do the dundee and arbroath olys get used on long distance services like the 20, 27, 30, 39 and 73s?

Don't believe the ollys get very much for normal work, but could be out covering for stuff. It's two weeks before the schools go back.

Still 2 ALX400's on the 99. I know the Tay Road Bridge is unlikely to close to deckers today, but it's not ideal. One of the Tridents was LX51LFL. Two Solo's still appear to be out of action in the shed.

Deckers have been used on the 99 for years, I enjoy it

There are four R reg deckers at kirkcaldy depot.

Yip even recently, I remember going up to try the new buses for the 99 and what appeared? A decker, I do still see them every so often. Its all about timing

Weekends and school holidays are the best times to see double deckers on the 99 group.

I'm not sure what you mean, it is often used on other services. Would be ok on 13 I would think. Even X4/46 is not that busy most of the day. Otherwise move it to St Andrews for the 68 or 92.

13, x4/46 are all getting new buses, 92 is used also as a school bus. Could end up on the 68 as you say.

That's certainly what was reported elsewhere, last month, and I'm sure is still the plan.

I've heard that 47657 will remain at Aberhill. It hasn't been used on service B1 for many weeks now for engineering reasons. It's been on 13 or X4/46. 47004 was on B1 on Thursday.

Aberhill's last remaining Olly, 16230 was on service 8 on Thursday, departing Leven sometime after 1400 (the one that goes via Victoria Hospital).

17430, 18012 & 18124 have all entered service at Aberhill recently. Perhaps 18014 and 18123 will follow shortly.

The Varios were only for school contracts anyway. At the time they were negotiated the requirement was 31 seats and seatbelts, but I'd guess this has now been talked down to 27/29 seats.

All solos in use for Perth and kinross school contracts have seat belts, hence if you travel on the 201, either way 47657 is still useless since its only 21 seats plus 3 flip downs.

Today Plenty of dups and double deckers operating on the Edinburgh routes today I dare say it will be a real pain this evening about now!

Not exactly, since with the changes on Monday 3 less solos are required, we will have to wait and see where and what is end up on.

Of course it could always be cascaded up to Highlands/Bluebird etc..there's only 4 Varios left after all...

The Solo requirement actually increases by one from Monday, and I understand Dart 34039 has transferred to Aberhill to cover this, until the new Solos are ready for the road.

Route 32 and G7 go over to Solo operation from Monday, hence the increase.

18014 is VOR at Aberhill, probably still belongs to Dunfermline. I heard a while back that 3 deckers would transfer from Cowdenbeath to Aberhill. Thus far I have seen 18007, 18011 & 18012, all of which have been repainted. 18012 went into service earlier this month. I'm not sure what 17430 has replaced. The fleet card suggests 16132 but in reality 18124 replaced this.

34039 is at Aberhill, saw it arrive on Thursday.

....then add the one on the 47 (commercial part of old 13), and you have the increase indicated earlier. Dart 34039 is intended to be used on the 47, until the Solo SRs are ready, as its a commercial operation, so not subject to the FC vehicle age limit.
