Times for GC training runs

I do apologise for the info I posted last week (which, it was probably a day early), but I reposted most of it

I do agree that DML do not like any information or photographs about on-going contracts (MoD sensitive?!), so I believe the information I reposted makes that position also a little clearer
However, my source at GCT clarified that they had visited this week and two power cars had been completed and NR inspected, with another two due for completion next week
All four will make their way to Toton by road, starting next week

Marcroft Engineering on the other hand were more than happy to discuss what stage the refurbishment of the Mark 3a coaches had progressed to, without giving any contract specific information, and this included details that some had also been completed and passed NR inspections, some were nearing completion, although a final batch wouldn't be ready for at least 4 weeks (as at last week)

GCT are hoping that one HST set will be ready at Toton by Tuesday 28 with the other by 03 September, the final one by 10 September

Hope that you're right about those powercars m8,I'm on holiday next week so I may have to stake out Toton next week !!

Your timing will have to be "good luck" as once the set is made up it is very likely that it will run ECS to Heaton in readiness for the final stage of staff training

Right,lets start again.I have just got in from a nice shift between Darlo/Saltburn and my holiday starts here !!! I'm going to Toton to stake out the GC powercars et al ! however if I miss them I have contacts at Heaton CS who can give me info on sets arrival and also allow me to take some photos(hopefully) :grin:
