Possibly the first and only time I will say this, but Sugar was spot on with his decision this week. Two most uninspiring people in the competition.

I also was pleased with the outcome this week; when they all entered the boardroom for a second time, I assumed there would be a double firing.

The section where Jason is recalled has to be my favourite clip of the series so far, with the way he bowed out, saying something along the lines of "I hope to have left a good impression sir."

Thankfully, the Welsh vampire survived. I actually want him to win, he's absolutely hilarious.

He is hilarious because he speaks out and is direct. As well as looking like Dracula, of course. There have been several instances where he has become annoye dby someone else and sworn at them! This is always good to see in a series such as this!

Couldn't agree more with that - particularly funny after one of those phone calls in the taxi.

I'm a big fan of the Apprentice. To Me Jason comes across as a bit of toff, the sort of person who wouldn't look out of place in Cameron's cabinet.

I hope Alex the Welsh vampire and Freddie Mercury lookalike wins.

Actually I felt sorry for Jason last night, he is obviously an honourable man and does not fit the "dog eat dog" world of Alan Sugar :p

I agree. He was reluctant to have a go at the others and seemed to take the blame for the first day's fiasco. It probably was his fault to a large extent, but I have a sneaking suspicion that none of the other contestants in the history of the series would havenot gone on the attack, accusing everyone else of udnermining them and making it impossible for them to manage the task.

I'm glad that Lord Sugar recognised his good qualities and gave him a 'With regret' firing!

Jason has been irritating me from the outset!! Nice guy...I'd say too nice...but he just isn't cut out for the 'real' world in my eyes

You may have apoint with the 'too nice' bit. He was certainly too nice for The Apprentice!

I think he will do OK in the 'real world' though, just not in business!

Jason was useless. Nice chap, undoubtedly, but with that irritating "academic arrogance" which doesn't translate to the world of business.

It was about time Leah showed what she is made of. That Miles smarms his way through tasks with his third rate impressions of 007 without actually getting a great deal right.

It was a hge mistake tonight not to realise (as Asda said) that Mum is the customer and not the kids he was so keen to aim their product at! Basic, really, that children tend not to go into supermarkets with their credit card and do the weekly shop!

Actually, I was surprised they took against the brand. The psychology of feeding the kids was good, and was the sort of approach I used over the years. Anyone who believes children do not influence what their parents buy is wrong!

I agree with that. However, the feedback from the parents who saw the brand was not good. The use of the skulls was not good. The linking of dinner with deadly, and healthy with horrible was not good.

Basically, any decent retailer knows they would would struggle to shift the product as it was.

To try and illustrate what I think would be the difference between what could turn out to be a good idea and what they actually did, imagine what a parent would think of 'Bats Blood Pasta' labelled as 'Ghoulish Grub' but with an equally heavy emphasis on the healthy aspect of the food. Brighter packaging and highlighting the lack of additives, low sugar, and such like would have been a big plus compared to the negative signals of the branding they chose.

The kids would still be enthralled by the name, but the parents would be reassured by the fact that they were buying something that was relatively good for their offspring, and not something that is going to make the little ones think it is OK to eat or drink something with a skull on it.

Obviously pester power is something that anyone is the retail business is aware of, but the person buying the food has the final say and the brand was just too off the mark (prime example being the skull on the packaging!).

On the other team, I thought it was extremely unfair to put Francesca in the kitchen, when it was obvious that Luisa could've created a much better recipe!

I used to sell ready meals to supermarkets, with the supermarkets brand on them. The Deadly Dinners idea was fundamentally flawed, as parents buy the meals, and don't serve them to their kids with the sleeve next to the plate.

As for the other one, "not spicy enough" isn't a problem. Just blame the factory for the poor samples, invite the buyers in for the improved recipe at the pre-production trial run and everyone's happy.

To quote a tweet I saw:
"This would be less of a stitch up if Luisa planted some Class A drugs on Francesca and tipped of Karen"

We've probably been having Bats Blood Pasta for years anyway, if only Aldi had thought of packaging their ready meals like Team Vampire we'd not have had all that fuss earlier this year ...

Anyone else think that Jason reminded them of Ed Miliband? (obviously, for reasons of balance, all the others remind me of David Cameron in their cocky-smugness :D )

Sad to see Alex go, he was one of the more entertaining contestants of the programme, the show is about to get a bit duller!

Based on the snippet they gave us at the end (Lord Sugar says 'No discussion about it, you're fired) hopefully there's still some more drama to come! :p

Poor old Miles has "walked the plank" as Lord Sugars latest casualty.

I really thought Jordan had talked himself into being sacked but he got away with it.

Super smooth Neil glided into the next round on the back of his sales during the task.

Dull episode. One team so hopelessly out of touch with the task that all three could have been dumped. Jordan deserved it for the vase alone!

It was quite obvious from the beginning that the men would lose (I can't bring myself to call them boys!). Miles has been going downhill for the past few weeks, and I think he was eventually found out.

I thought that Jordan came very close to committing Apprentice suicide. He just didn;t seem to know when to shut up, and was talking himself into a deeper and deeper hole. It's only the fact that Miles had had two very poor weeks on the trot that saved Jordan in the end.

It may only be a temporary reprieve. The interviews will drill down into his business plan and it may be curtains for Jordan then, especially if Sugar's remarks last night about risky investments were anything to go by.

The male group lost the plot from the very start when they bought items that were high-end and not suitable for a market stall! I think that given their high-flier lifestyles, they probably thought that the items were pretty cheap, whereas Joe Bloggs isn't going to by a £20 butter dish on a whim whilst walking to the station.

Jordan's idea to have a three-way partnership with the investment also went down like a lead balloon!

I said last week that Lord Sugar made a bad decision in getting rid of Alex rather than Miles. Needless to say, I stand by that vigorously now <(

Well they've all got 'digital' or 'online' business plans so they must be automatically be innovative and profitable, right? ;)
