Celebs you've seen on the train

I saw Samantha Cameron at East Croydon relatively recently, awaiting a service to a South Coast destination. I will not specify the date, time or whereabouts exactly she was on the station.

Security was very discreet (I will go no further) and there were no photographers (etc.) of note. I suppose it was probably a private journey rather than an official one.

Perhaps I out to get out more but most of the names here I do not know or would not recognise if they jumped up and hit me eg Barry Cryer is just a voice on the radio not a celebrity.

And as for Mrs Cameron she is just the wife of the Prime Minister a transient thing and it is that office that is important rather than the incumbent (although how the post holder performs in the role is important).
Celebrity? - I think not.

Just looked out my window as I heard the hail stones, in London , in May!

I saw Greg Davies, the headteacher on The Inbetweeners, getting on an HST at Par once. The HST had come from Newquay and was full of teenagers, so he was getting quite a lot of attention.

Sure I saw author Bill Bryson on a 308 from Guiseley during the late 90's when he lived in this neck of the woods. I overheard him in conversation in which he sounded like an author as well.

I drove Warwick Davis home the other day (London to peterbourgh), he sat in first class behind me.

I was also at Cambridge the other day when the queen caught one of our trains there, I didn't drive her train but was taking one out of Cambridge just after her arrival so saw her getting off.

One of our drivers also killed Emma buttons dog at Hadley wood recently (and rather sadly). Not sure if that counts though.

I have seen various football teams and perhaps most wonderfully of all i traveled back from an away game in London to Darlo with the entire Darlo team in my carriage - we had won (for once) and it was a good trip back

I sat in first class with Mike Atherton once from Newcastle. He seemed like a nice guy

I met Jimmy Montgormery(ex Sunderland keeper) at Durham Station, also met Danny Dichio, Alex Rae, Kevin Phillips at Durham the same day I met Monty, they were heading to a game at Arsenal

Met Alan Shearer in Newcastle Station, I asked him for a photo, turned round to hand my mate my camera, when I turned back round, Shearer had vanished, also met Warren Barton and Shay Given as they were on there way to Scotland for a couple of days team break...

Also many moons ago, on a train from Newcastle to Durham, there was a production crew filming on a GNER train, cant remember the film, but Patsy Kensit was in it, although I dont think she was there

Looks like it, filming took place about 1999-2000, I think the scene in question was a group of lasses going to Blackpool on the lash or a hen party...

I forgot all about it until my mate recently mentioned it to me, we made a tit of ourselves and got told off for being noisy, my mate tried to beg the film crew for a small part and I was ****ing myself at him, he was totally owned by a cameraman and eventually told to 'go **** himself', well not those words exactly, but it may as well have been, as they got so ****ed off with him
