HOLD, surely after the Cambridge incident a few weeks/months back, this move is not allowed as the bus station is a considerable distance from the rail station?

I shall strike-through that posting, which will make all postings made after that invalid.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
We then board the 16:46 GA service to Norwich, arriving at 17:31 on Sunday

I now call..."RESUME"...........This posting is the one that the quiz should continue from

By the book that's wouldn't be valid as we are still under hold conditions as no RESUME has been posted by the caller of the hold. Seeing as original poster struck through and did not post a new move though on this occasion I will accept that the game RESUMED when that action was taken and that your move is valid. For future reference though, no moves should be made when under a HOLD until a RESUME is posted.

Thank you, as the official quiz-setter, for your clarification of the rules, with regard to this particular matter. I should have therefore prefixed the pre-existing posting reference that was the last valid posting with the word "RESUME" as it was I that was challenged and it was my responsibility to have had a cognitive understanding as how the rules of the quiz should have been followed. I shall endeavour to return to the quote in question and prefix this with the word "RESUME"

You wouldn't be able to call RESUME as you didn't call the hold. The system is set up so that the game only continues when the caller of the hold or myself are happy that the correct action has been taken to resolve the issue.

We now continue from Norwich on the 2052 East Midlands Trains service to Peterborough arriving at 2216 on Sunday.

Game moves
Holds
If it is believed that a post is not valid then a hold should be requested by posting HOLD HOLD HOLD and a reference to the post in question. Once a hold has been requested no further moves should be posted until the hold is cleared.

A hold is considered cleared when:

1. The original poster and person calling the hold reach agreement over the validity of the post and if necessary, the author of the original poster corrects their submission. The caller may then clear the hold they called by posting RESUME. If this is not done within 24 hours then an adjudication will be made.

2. An adjudication is made by Zoe in which case RESUME will be posted by Zoe with details on where the game will continue from.

Well, does this particular part of the rules mean that transportphoto who called the hold has 24 hours from the submission of his original call of "HOLD" to agree to matters, as on my part, I have "struck-through" the queried post in question, thus deeming my acceptance for the reason for his challenge.

That is a very good point and I have updated the rules to allow for the original poster to call RESUME if they strike through their original post.

No time for sightseeing, but there is time to grab a drink and something to eat, as there's no catering on the 09:36 FSR service to Perth arriving 10:52 on Monday

Right, no objecting to this walk, as I have done it and it is a very short walk....<(

we leave the railway station and make the short walk to the bus stop outside the Co-operative store on Thurso Road where we board the 1840 Stagecoach Highlands service 82 to Halkirk (Sinclair Street) that arrives there at 1907 on Monday evening.

With little prospect of onward travel we seek some guid Scots hospitality by staying at The Station Hotel. Suitably refreshed we make our way to the station for the first departure on Tuesday morning, the 06:48 FSR service to Inverness arriving at 10:35 on Tuesday

We spend time taking in the breathtaking scenery of the Cuillin Mountains, and the view from the harbour whilst enjoying a well earned drink in the Cuillin View Coffee Shop. We aren't able to take a trip on the 'Bella Jane' across Loch Coruisk so we catch the 17:00 Stagecoach Highlands 55 bus to Broadford Post Office arriving 17:35 Tuesday.

Looking at the timetable we find that public transport is a little lacking at this time of the evening. So it's a bit of a wait until the 22:06 Stagecoach Highlands service 19 to Inverness Bus Station (Stand 2) ariving at 22:11 Tuesday

Having no further onwards connections we seek shelter at a local hotel... Early alarm call though to make our way to Lamington Street where we are spoilt for choice of bus departures... We choose to board the 05:45 Stagecoach Highlands service and alight at Evanton Balconie Street 06:46 Wednesday

We just have the minimum 5 minutes connection time for our next bus, but it is a guaranteed connection with the arriving X99 service. We therefore depart on the 12:01 X97 Stagecoach Highlands service and alight at Thrumster Church arriving 12:32 on Wednesday.

We continue our exploration of the north-east top portion of Scotland by boarding the 1329 Stagecoach Highlands service X97 to Lybster (Village Road) that arrives there at 1346 on Wednesday afternoon.

We are now in the settlement that DanTrainMan185 was totally and utterly lost twelve months ago on this quiz and where the name of "Lybster Omnibus Syndrome" was coined to mark that event....:D
