Contestation: Surely the "International" part of the name simply delimits NR and HS1 services from one another, whilst still being in the same station complex?
They are not part of the same station complex, there's no access between the two except by road or DLR. At Ebsfleet, the station is served by both international and domestic services but is known as Ebsfleet International for all services.

If separate lines and nearby stops at a specific station (I.E: MML, ThamesLink, HS1, LUL and KGX at St. Pancras
King's Cross and St Pancras International are separate stations. London Underground is a different mode and has a station serving both main line stations. Walking between two stations of the same mode has always been prohibited although there may have been occasions early in the game where some have slipped through without getting noticed.

King's Cross and St Pancras International are separate stations. The LUL station is King's Cross/St Pancras and serves both stations.
Hang on a sec, I'm just looking this up for myself. However both stations are named "Stratford" and thus it can be regarded as part of an integrated interchange.

If it wasn't for the identical first-order names, this would be identical to the KGX/STP problem, but it isn't.

Death... you have a PM
Will try and have a look at it when I can, but researching this and (Public) in-thread clarification is higher on my list of priorities at the moment. :)

There are many locations that have more than one station them starting with the name of the location (Birmingham New Street/Moor Street is one example) but they are officially still separate stations and as such walking between them is not permitted in this game regardless of if ticketing would allow it or not. In the case of Stratford the interchange between the two would usually be by DLR which would be a move in its own right in this game.

You've got to be kidding...Both stations (Which I've always understood to be an integrated complex) are less than half a mile and about two minutes apart on foot!:(

Does this also invalidate changes between Manchester Piccadilly (Main shed) and the platforms on the Oxford Road branch? Or Bank and Mansion House? Waterloo (Main) and Waterloo (East)?

I'll apologise if I sound quite aggrevated at this point (Cue the Crossrail jokes! :)) but checking this out for myself has taken over half an hour of time that I don't have, used over 75MB of bandwidth, and has very nearly led to me putting my fist through the screen (This isn't my PC) due to it/Google Maps persistently refusing to operate properly... <(

Game moves

Walking
You may walk in order to change modes but you may not walk between stations of the same mode although you may walk to a different bus stop at the same location for example by crossing the road in order to travel in a different direction.

Invalid moves
Any move that does not comply with the above rules may be declared void by Zoe in which case may be given time to submit a valid post. If this is not done then the game will continue from the last valid post.

Perhaps this extract from the rules of the quiz that are contained in the very first posting may be of assistance.

The only way to make a posting which enables a journey to be made between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Oxford Road is to use a rail service. Walking between these two stations is not allowed.
I was referring to the two through platforms at Piccadilly. Under the same rules, they're far enough from the engine shed to be regarded a separate station and thus a change between (For example) a VT service to Manchester and a TPE service to Blackpool North must also be regarded invalid.

I've posted what looks like a valid move two posts up. See Post 4568.

A long walk between platforms does not make it invalid if it's still part of the same station. For example it's a long walk at Paddington from platform 1 to platform 13 but it's still the same station.

Anyhow...This flood has completely drowned out my revised valid move, so here it is again:
2K26 Greater Anglia at 13:21 on a Sunday from Stratford plat. 8, to alight cunningly at Ilford platform 4 at 13:26 on Sunday (Check the WTT). <D

Passengers are reminded to ensure that all of their personal padding is in their possession and suitably equipped before attempting to alight at this station... ;)

I got it, I got it...However we're still under TPs' Hold (See post 4558) and the game can't continue until he's verified my revised move and released said hold.

Accordingly we're still stuck on 2K26 until that's been done. :|

Holds

A hold is considered cleared when:

1. The original poster and person calling the hold reach agreement over the validity of the post and if necessary, the author of the original poster corrects their submission. The caller may then clear the hold they called by posting RESUME. If this is not done within 24 hours then an adjudication will be made.

2. An adjudication is made by Zoe in which case RESUME will be posted by Zoe with details on where the game will continue from.

I can post extracts from the quiz rules for as long as it takes to have matters clarifies, but in this extract from the rules it very clearly states that only Zoe..no other person..will deal with matters.

No we are not, your post was declared void so there was no longer a hold applying to it. Paul's post is valid.

A hold can be removed by the caller of the hold if they reach agreement with the original poster but in this case there was no agreement as I was around and declared the post void.

Oh, I see...Fair do's. :)
Question is, where exactly does that leave us now? I'm still walking the cess at Stratford in a completely confused manner, and thinking that this was not the day to leave my hi-vis at home...

Anyhow, it's gone midnight. Time for me to log-off before I turn into a pumpkin...:lol:;)

Thank goodness for that last posting. It seemed at one time that we were mired in the "Slough of Despond" and recreating a scenario from Dante's "Paradise Lost" at one time last night.

Assuming that Witham was where we are, we spend the next hour recovering our composure, then we board the 1556 GA service to Ipswich that arrives there at 1633 on Sunday afternoon.

We then board the 16:46 GA service to Norwich, arriving at 17:31 on Sunday

(What happens if someone drops us off at Berney Arms? Are we allowed to walk to the pub or are we forced to sleep under the stars?!)

A change of travel mode is ensued by the lure of the omnibus, so we walk to the bus station and board the 1810 First in Suffolk and Norfolk service X1 to Guyhirn (Oak Tree Farm) that arrives there at 2032 on Sunday evening.

ANY POSTINGS MADE AFTER THIS STRUCK-THROUGH POSTINGS UNFORTUNATELY ARE NOW INVALID.

Not fancying a 2 hour wait until the next bus westwards, we cross over and catch the First in Suffolk & Norfolk X1 service at 20:45 to Kings Lynn Bus Station arriving at 21:28 Sunday

HOLD, surely after the Cambridge incident a few weeks/months back, this move is not allowed as the bus station is a considerable distance from the rail station?
