Lost somewhere within Bank-Monument tube station,
Well, I finally had a journey on 402, forming the 14:58 from Norwich to Lowestoft this afternoon. The interior just seems...sterile. Far too much white is used inside, which doesn't help, and the retained seat covers really let the refurbishment down. And they STILL haven't applied vinyls to the outside. That said, it was pretty comfortable and clean inside, although the white livery is already covered in winter muck.

Still better than the shambles that was the 09:50 service to Norwich. Quite why GA thought putting 153314 ALONE on this service was a good idea is beyond me, the damn thing was full to bursting before it even reached Oulton Broad North! Surely they can't be that short of stock? Surely they could have nicked a 156/170 from the Felixstowe branch or the Ipswich-Cambridge service instead. <(

Desperatley short of stock. Thursday alone saw several 153s out alone on Norfolk branch lines & a stream of conductor reports of trains full to capacity & no revenue duties undertaken. You also would only shift the overcrowding to the longer Ipswich-Cambridge route.

hardly a match with the refreshed 153s seeing as they retain the blue hand grabs and also have the anglia seating pattern, red instead of blue

So it's finnaly good bye to Central Trains livery at last then. In a way, shame - it's a more colourful livery to the drab & dreariness of 'ONE' but it's time it's sent off.

Isn't 418 still in central livery as well, so not quite the end for it yet.
