Since when is 405 knackered, I though it was t'other way round :-?

405 is no heat and there were no plans to fix it (last time I talked to someone who knows about these things).
417 is/was knackered. Was running a TM down, though maybe been fixed since its been GSM-R'd.
410 is a good'un.
406 is weak, wasn't a favourite of many drivers.
422 is just about trusted now.

If this did happen, 405 could be used I guess with it being Summer - heat might not be neaded (if the weather does what its supposed to!!)

Heat might not be needed, but air-con certainly will especially on stuffy Mark 2 stock...

The correct term I should have used, of course, (for those that are not aware already  ;)) is Electric Train Supply (ETS) which supplies air con, heating, lighting, CDL (especially if the batteries on the stock are knackered!). Also commonly known as ETH, shortened to no heat if the loco isn't fitted with ETS or is broken.

Well the peak 9 weeks are over a month away yet so would say 'guessing' loco numbers is a little premature...... Although how about 411/425.... lol

411 and 425 eh? Good luck! Both on extremely high hours! Only brought onto tour the night before, and that was a tour, not continuous work. 410 and 406 would probably do a turn with 422 probably as well. IIRC 405 atm is ****ed but still in a active pool and 406 has been fixed up a bit...

Most likely for Saturdays Pathfinder tour

N/PDC showing for at least one of them (I forget which one but there's a 50% chance of guessing right ) which is usually a good indication of a bit of charter work coming up.

37410 was assigned PDC earlier (ta to d200) but Im not sure if its still at Bescot or not. 406 was seen at Washwood Heath not too long ago

Look whos operating Sundays extra FGW Exeter to Paddington services for the football at Wembley, yes the EWS/Riviera charter alliance. The same setup that recently ran the Bristol to Cardiff extras for FGW, yes the Weymouth thing IS happening, dont worry about what Westbury traincrew know, its nothing to do with them!!

Fair enough.

About 417, hasn't it been running on a limit number of Traction Motors recently?

Exactly what I said earlier.

I'm informed it's gone to Toton for battering into reasonable shape now...

Wonder if 405 will follow for ETH reinstatement...?

Will be an interesting tell tale sign of any work coming up for the fleet if these repairs get authorised (previously they weren't going to be)...

I saw 37410, 37406 and 67023 tonight at Acton on 0Z37 1938 Wembley - Old Oak Common, these to be the locos for the Cambrian and one of Sunday's footexs.

They still need another three 67s then, as I guess the Footexs will be TnT?

Hopefully one of the IT'S A ROYAL ONE!s will turn up.

Seems a waste to run TnT IMO. Its adding more weight and is going to be dragged from Exeter to Paddington.

Well surely the footex is gunna be longer than 6 coaches? So if the 37s do it, it will be much easier for TnT cos the ETH and turning times...

The footexs are not 37s ;)

They are booked 11/12 coaches, which I can't see a 67 struggling with.
