I would say no room for two no. As I understand it Reays have timetabled their service a few minutes ahead of SC. Some would say this is lazy or cheap competition but none the less is likely to pick up the passengers. I'm open to correction here.!
This is what Stagecoach has been doing for years!, in places like Barrow, Bolton, Burnley, Darlington, Lancaster, Lytham St Annes, & Preston.
In Bolton, it was possible to catch a stagecoach bus from Bolton to Manchester a distance of 8 miles for only 10p.
In Lytham St Annes, they used former Lancaster CT buses, which were blue on 167/168 services, which ran in direct competion with Fylde Blue Buses services 11/11A.
Whatever you think about Reays I actually think it's good for passengers that there is competition as it raises standards and prompts investment. That's my pennies worth anyway!
