Hi,
Just a quick question which I am hoping someone might have the answer to.

I just bought a ticket using RSH for self service collection at my local station and paid for the entire transaction using loyalty points.

The e-mail confirmation gives me the usual code to pick up the ticket but mentions I will need the credit/debit card used as well. As I didn't use a debit/credit card what will happen when I try to pick the ticket up?

Insert any card and it will allow you to enter the code and then it will print the tickets.

Having never personally issued a RSH ToD paid with points in work before, do the tickets come out with 'w' after the price?

It must be was, because if I pay for a ticket with cash and an RTV I get a W. Is it the larger amount that takes precedence?

I think it depends on the TIS.

A Red Spotted Hanky ticket for £10.50, paid with a £10 voucher and 50p by credit card was printed with X.

On the other hand, a £10.55 fare issued by South West Trains using a £3 RTV and the rest on card was printed as Y.

V - Warrant and cash.
Y - Warrant and card.

That said, most transactions involving warrants and RTVs seem to get put through the TIS as Ws.

YMMV.
