Not sure the RAIB would attend something like that but I would guess that the local Network Rail MOM or LOM would have a few photos; however, I would be surprised if they found their way into the public domain........

I'm not sure it's something you should be 'looking forward' to reading although the report will be the most reliable way to get all of the facts. Cat A SPAD of this nature is certainly a RAIB matter. For the record, normal working has resumed.

It depends on the precise circumstances; they could well have / will investigate according to their guidelines , but it does not mean to say that they will actually attend in person.
RAIB did not attend as there was no requirement for them to do so.

And even a serious SPAD may not be any fault of the driver.
The case on SE last year (?) where the sander-boxws hadn't been filled [ Someone else's job ] & the train slid for 3+ miles ( Stongate ) comes to mind.

Rail head treatment train. A water jetter. They clean the leaves off the line at this time of year.
