Actually that's the one item I would disagree with. There are some b****y brilliant beers in the USA , if you know where to look.

Every so often, we receive postings from our American forum members, so I have been somewhat disappointed to find no postings from any of them on this particular thread......or have the CIA been secretly active once again with their monitoring of the "social media"...:roll:

Some of us have 9am lectures?

(And anyway, the last ballots will close in the Aleutians at 20.00 local time, 06.00 UTC, which will be long after the result is definite. Which seems kind of purpose-defeating, although in a country spanning seven timezones it can't really be helped unlike in the UK where all the ballots close simultaneously at 22.00.)

It's over - Ohio have pushed Obama over the line. Another four years of Democrat rule it is then!

The vast majority here will be pleased.

Looks like we have a provisional result...

In other news, it would seem that the Senate stays blue and the House red, meaning that frequent legislative deadlocks look set to continue. Also, it's looking like Puerto Rico has narrowly voted against the status quo and in favour of statehood, which will certainly be significant...

Different sources are calling the states in different orders :P I'm watching NBC and for them it was Iowa which pushed him over. And looking at the Huffington Post's ticker it was Oregon who won it...

Bear in mind that these are all provisional and speculative; no states have finished counting and on the west coast the polls only closed half an hour ago. It's not like in the UK where our small constituencies and simultaneous polling hours mean that we're actually able to call results when the count is finished.

Any perusal of information which is reasonably freely available reveals just what a bizarre character this Barack Hussein Obama or Barry Soetero really is.

Paternity
Place of Birth (and thus elegibility for the office of President)
College Record
Health/Drug dependency
and much, much more...

Well we have a difference of opinion.

By the way I find that obfuscation (9/11,faked moon landings) is generally used by people who are not very sure of their facts - why did'nt you throw in holocaust denial and the reptilians - go for it!:lol:

Only by his political opponents. Every site that touts these theories is biased against Obama for whatever reason.
To take it to it's logical extreme there are Holocaust denial sites on the internet? Does that mean the Holocaust didn't happen?

Also what does his health have to do with it? FDR won in 1944 when he was dying.

The world is relieved that Americans have made the sensible choice, I hope now that Democrats take control of the House so the "Just Say No" attitude of the Republicans, which had been plaguing Obama since 2010 should anyone forget, can be subverted.

Ahh, that repository of unbiased information. Where there is just as much to be found to debunk the myths about Obama.

Still, if the internet says something is true then it must be. There's actually quite a sophisticated legal and judicial process in place in the US to determine someones eligibility to be President.

Any perusal of information which is reasonably freely available reveals just what bizarre hypotheses the tin foil hat wearing brigade come up with.
