It is indeed March. I make it somewhere in the region of 150mi as the crow flies.

By the shortest possible route it is roughly 196mi (197mi allowing for existing passenger services).

I don't quite understand this, do you mean:
a) served only by trains which are, say 25kV AC at that point, but may become 750V DC later
b) served only by trains which only operate using one type of traction (ie not EDs or dual voltage units)

As b is a subset of a, I will assume it true for now and say Brading.

No, but Wolverton was valid nonetheless as I believe the first batch of 350s is DC-operational.

For me it is a repeated answer again. 171s are barred due to the position of the fire bells or some such, so there is no longer a booked diesel presence. There is the presence of an empty 395 which goes onto the overhead at Fawkham Jn though, I suspect an ecs move won't get you a penalty so you should be fine.

No, but Wolverton was valid nonetheless as I believe the first batch of 350s is DC-operational. (For this same reason, Cheddington is also valid, even though Southern don't stop there.)

Indeed, they worked onto the Southern on the MKC-Croydon interegionals at one point. I was concerend at the clue for services not needing dual voltage units making one or both of these a dud responce.

The answer I sought was Cannon Street. Some 375s are dual-voltage and may turn up at peak times on Ramsgate services.
