May is now “out.”
Quietly remembering when LNWR had this abomination:

Wikipedia is not materially different from this forum in that it's not Wikipedia itself saying anything; it's the authors.

If the author is adhering to good practice principles they will be providing sources wherever possible/applicable.

Ah, ok. I understand now!
Just a random curiosity that occurred to me.

Are there any National Rail, London Underground, or light rail stations anywhere in the UK that have never seen a mention on this forum in the many years of its existence?

This would obviously have to exclude threads which involve intentionally stating lots of station names - which precludes most of the Quizzes & Games section, as well as Trivia threads asking for lists of stations. I'd probably also exclude stations that closed before the forum existed.

Such an interesting question.

While this is not one of them, Colliers Wood appears to be mentioned very little with 4 pages of forums where said station has been mentioned.

If I find anything different (trying to exclude trivia forums!) I’ll update!

Part of me thinks although, that every station has been said in some capacity. Would be amazed to figure out any anomalies!

I have seen Withington has 10 pages of mentions, however 70% are on the quizzes and games subforum, so I think that is a considerably small amount.
Another Discovery:

Turns out on computer, when I click on the Buses & Coaches forum it changes to BusUK Forums.

That's been the case for a while. busforums.co.uk also directs to this site, but it seems to be a bit broken

I realised that a little while ago. I never visit that section of the form though because this is train forum
time served at Croydon (maintrol /crcc), SCD, Ilford(lvl5 , Selhurst, TB1 & Bedford ( pway). with 13 years in preservation
Hi. I have looked at this again and altered the Spreadsheet. If you enter the data as, for example Trentels Ladignac as N 44 26 35.22 E 0 53 5.63 in Google and search, it will be recognised in Google Maps and you can use the directions button to drive to it. Cheers

Merci bien
Hello there! Wanted to drop in quick and say thank you to those who’ve taken part in the quizzes. It helps to keep my mind off things, it’s nice to do with some music in the background

:)
Congratulations, I remember you as we were going for the same Future Ops position. Although I didn't make the reserve list, I am truly happy for you as I have felt your pain with the rejection last year.
Crongrats again and all the best

Thanks so much. Don't lose heart, this was 5th application Id made Sounds like hiring is starting again from what HR have said to me, expect more vacancies. This totally came out of the blue as Id given up on the reserve list if Im honest so keep pluggin away with applications You truly never know who is looking at your application ,the unexpected can happen.
Keep going and good luck x
She also said he was in a talent pool when he was recruited. He emailed HR regularly and also found out his position in that pool. That made me decide to email HR...they replied saying the talent pool 'wasn't complete and they would be in contact when it was'!

What email address did you use? I’ve not been able to get hold of them.....
..and I've read on here that the class sizes have been cut to 4 and internals are prioritised in the pool. So it all seems above board. I asked my wife what he did and she said "ticket collector", not sure if that means guard or station staff.
I don't know how he found that out, but I can't think of a reason for him to say it if it wasn't true.
My wife sat next to a GWR worker on the train to PLY and she mentioned I was in the talent pool and did he know anything about it. He said he had heard the talent pool was complete and they had selected 4x internal candidates for the first course.
Does anyone have any info on GWR Plymouth...

George, I didn't want to post this in the forum (because it's only hearsay) but I saw your message...
May I ask where you got your profile picture from?

Hi yes it is one of my Pictures taken in the Harz mountains. A Mallett, I also have a model of this one produced by TrainLine 45.
I know i'm technically inept but I have tried to edit like you asked me after my last mess-up but I seem to have lost the edit totally. What should I press when I have finished editing?
Excuse the ignorance, but what's the meaning of the heart icon in the logo at the top of the forum?

Ah - just thought - could it be to do with Valentines Day on Sunday? (sorry for making a second post, couldn't edit previous one)

@Peter C, it has changed for me, perhaps you need to clear the cached version (Ctrl+F5)?

@A Challenge It seems to have changed for me - but thanks anyway. I'll use that trick in future. :)

What is the route called please.

I assume you mean the BVE route I was taking about in the post below?
I can't remember exactly, and I have a few dozen routes installed so can't really go through them all and check, but I do know it was Northern, and I think it was from a set by 'eezypeazy', either the ECML one or the Tyne Valley.
(As you can likely tell, I don't drive trains for a living - if I did, I'd have far better route-knowledge than that :D)
