Thanks one of my own taken in the Harz Mountains during one of 2 Steam Railway tours to the lines that I was on just over a decade ago now.
are you still using your youtube channel? Not to sound rude but it appears it may have been taken over by someone else whom is using it to encourage pircy, which is a crime in the UK and many other countries.

I haven’t uploaded to my YouTube channel in several years but had no idea it had been hacked!

I will report and remove these videos ASAP.

Thanks.

Wasn't 47614 just the previous number for 47853?

Yes, indeed. But the loco is registered as 47853 on TOPS and has not been renumbered back to its previous number except on the side of the loco. If you do a TOPS enquiry for 47614, it will ask you to correct the number and try again.

Ah right, thanks a lot for the explanation!

The flying Scottish kettle turns 100 tomorrow. Gather your flak jackets and head for the shelters, for the veg cometh.
Few scarier things than audibly hearing your back go 'pop'. Oh and the pain that goes shooting through you right afterwards... no words for it. This is what I wanted to have happen to me again, NOT. <(

As someone with a long-term back issue (almost 9 years now), I quite literally - 'feel your pain'.

Sometimes it behaves for some weeks; sometimes it's out for weeks.

And yes the 'crack' is not a pleasant noise to be hearing at all...

This isn't the first time I've thrown my back out (first happened in December 2020), at least this time I was conscious for it; I blacked out the first time.

These two incidents aside, I've not had any long-term back issues. Both times were due to over-exertion.

It's not as severe as last time, I don't think. I can (very slowly/carefully) go to the loo myself, but I can't bend over.

^^ The last time, I couldn't get out of bed unassisted for the first week or so. I'll take that as a sign that it's not as bad, but I'll be taking it very easy regardless. Just have to grit my way through the pain and hope it subsides with time; hopefully I won't need to take opiods this time around!

Glad to see a new face on the Quizzes and Games section of the website, especially one who can conjure up some interesting journeys.
I see from your list that 325010 is missing. Is that a typo or has it met its maker ?.

325016 has not been seen for over 6 months. Perhaps this has replaced 325010 as a source of spare parts.
baz692 I am looking at going to Edinburgh with the wife using LNER during the 3rd week of January but I am reluctant to book Hotels, trains etc until I know if there is going to be a rail strike.
Is it just ASLEF who will not be striking before the 30th of January and what about the other unions?
TIA Gus, Leicestershire.
