Zone 4-5 journey costs different amounts at different stations?

Fares are decided by more than just the zones travelled through, but also what lines you use to make the journey.

In a nutshell, Wembley Stadium - South Ruislip is charged by the London Underground fare scale while Shortlands to Bromley South is charged by the National Rail fare scale.

Don't worry - the price difference will be less from March, because the TfL-scale fares are increasing by an average of RPI+1 (5.8%) whilst NR-scale fares will be frozen. This particular fare will jump by 9.5%
