Do those ZIFA ticket stampers still exist? I remember back in the 2000s almost every guard seemed to have one but they seemed to start dissapearing in the 2010s and i have not seen one in over ten years. Most guards these days just look at your ticket and if they do mark it then it is just a scribble with a pen or occasionally a generic holepunch or stamp. I have seen photos of tickets with a ZIFA stamper marking in recent years so it seems that they may still exist at some operators. Or maybe just longer serving guards have kept theirs and still use them. I am just curious whether any train operators still purchase and issue ZIFA ticket stampers to their guards these days?

At least two of the longer-serving Aberdeen-based LNER guards have and still use them.

I've never seen them on ScotRail.

I saw someone have their ticket stamped with one of these on a GWR train on Tuesday, but certainly don’t see them as commonly as I did 10 years ago. I assume ink must still available for them.

Not sure if there are different types of stamper, but on a journey on the WCML recently my ticket was stamped with something that printed the date and some other info on it. But it is a very rare thing to happen these days, most guards aren't interested in tickets that they can't scan, and those that are just squiggle something in biro or felt tip on the ticket.
