These are the links to some of our videos on youtube showing how we transport and erect our Z gauge layouts. Many of these ideas will work in other scales as well
first up are two clips showing our plinth and lighting rig system used on our smaller Z gauge layouts like Midsomer Mardy and Mardy model Railway Club
part 1 deals with the plinth itself
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26UdkOlWdI8
part two deals with electrics etc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qx3IKfE3uDg
Video three shows some of our British outline Z in action
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9ZjFJrcZfQ
Slightly more ambitious but using more conservative techniques is 'Cuyahoga' our award winning Z gauge layout based on the Nickel Plate Railroad in Cleveland Oh.
Again part 1 concerns itself with baseboards etc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5CWXgDECPA
part 2 is lighting and controls
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yWLShcMGfA
video 3 is Cuyahoga in action at last years Southport MREX

Cuyahoga will be at Alexandra Place in March 2010
