When Notts County Council decided to make me redundant last year I decided that it was time for a break and I am currently treating myself to a bit of full-time education. Thus I have a YP railcard, in spite of my age being somewhat north of 26.

Simple question that does not seem to be clear to me from the application form: upon renewal, is it necessary to provide a new photograph if one already has a valid photocard? I think the answer is "no", but I am not confident about this.

Thanks in advance to all you booking clerks!

Are you renewing at station or online? I have always renewed online and have had the same photo for the last few years. That said I'm not sure if you can do it online if you are an over 26 full time student?

No, you can't renew online if you're an oldie, as far as I am aware, as you have to re-present your authorisation from the college/university/other each time.

no, you don't need to provide a new photograph.

(I'm not a booking clerk, but have renewed my railcard several times!)
