Baa baa Multicultural/Rainbow/Insert Non Offending Choice of word here - sheep. Anyone??
Brainstorms aren't allowed anymore, my local christian school which ever since it has opened has had a strict policy on the things it teaches, until a few years ago because two children from another minority joined the school. Now, Teaching Christianity is off the menu, because it would exclude these two, they aren't allowed in assembly because it teaches about god, they aint allowed to pray to god, but can spend time out of classes praying to their own god, but - they can't take them out of lessons whilst they teach Christianity in a CofE school, because it impacts on their learning.
Years back, one of my mums best friends was a police officer. Driving through a red light, a black woman came careering through at 50mph because the traffic had parted ready for the junction, smashed into the side of the police car. My mums mate was dead at the scene, the woman came out with a broken leg plus nearly half a mil, and all the police officers family got was a *sorry* we'll try not to let it happen again.
Turns out the woman was muslim, couldn't understand/read/speak english but it would be *racist* to hold an inquest when she couldn't speak or understand english, and had been through all the trauma of the accident.
