There very nice, a nice and smooth, comfee as well! saying that ive only done second class once, the first class is so nice!!!

Very true, but then again renumbered as a loco ....So who knows.hock:

Plus they travel at HST marked line speeds/or loco line speeds, whichever is applicable rather than MU ones so I'm saying special loco.:razz:

They were originally classed as units, under Class 253 and Class 254 (253 WR, 254 ECML). Issues with keeping the sets together when power cars required exams proved difficult to work with, so eventually they became semi-permanently-coupled locos and carriages.

Been on eurostar twice and both in first class very smooth at 186.4MPH, Everything flys past you so quick, you get a one second glimpse of a TGV passing you!.

I have to admit i first thought that when on a Euorstar, but after going on a couple of ICE-3s they seem rubbish. But they are still pretty zoomy.

I liked being behind th 45/1s in the late 70's to and from Derby.
HST's.
55007 Needles and Pinza Holds a particular affection from me as I was behind her to York 1979.
302 Slammers in the 70's down to Harold Wood and back to Stratford.
315 also were pretty new when I started at Ilford Carriage Sidings in 1982.

For Regional DMU's, I prefer 156's to 150's.

170's are quite nice.

I just HATE 142/3's , and love it when 158's (or even 150/3's) turn up on Taunton to Bristol's /Great Malverns, instead of 143's.
