Probably my Class 31 that was handed down to me as that was my first Loco, but my pride and joy is of course GNER's 'The White Rose' Train pack, my favourite Train and bloody hard to get a hold of one!

Hmmmmm, i don't recall seeing anything that says it has to be a '00' gauge loco, i've got around 200 '00' gauge loco's, i love my hornby bullied pacifics, my hornby 50's and 60's, my heljan 33's, the list goes on and on, but my favourite has to be my 'G' Gauge Bachmann Denver & Rio Grande Western narrow gauge 2-8-2 K-27 No 453!

I didn't say that it had to be 00 gauge, 00 is just a popular gauge.

I like to post pics whenever I can, so...

PIC_1011.jpg

158 in the Barbie pink. The most local train to where I lived previously and introduced to the area when I was very young. Always liked them.

PIC_1559.jpg

170 in Midland Mainline. Very odd choice for me, as N is not my typical scale. But at $99, it was cheap at around 40% of the price of a new one locally. Sold as second-hand, but had never seen use before I bought it, just an opened box. Don't think I'll see a bargain like that again for a while. :D

My 5th 373 gner model is almost done. Only the bridges needs to be working on this time. Would you mind sharing some pics, I'd love to upload mine when it's completely done.

Cheers,
Carmel

Carmel, what do you mean by 5th 373 GNER model? Are you building it? I'd LOVE to see some pics of them. I have just purchased 'The White Rose' pack over a month ago and i'm looking at extending it into a full rake. I've looked at a few websites and found one that does conversion kits to change the Hornby Divisable coaches into restaurant cars etc.

Look forward to hearing from you!:D

Partially purchased. I'd like to but RR is not yet fully done and there are some connection to be fix. Probably, by Sunday everything will be on its place. Hope you understand...

By the way, can you bring me to the page where you find "he White Rose" pack.

Thanks,

Hello everyone,

I guess these photos should belong to this thread. I've seen it while searching historical trains. This one is Hitler's train.

My favourite model, I don't actually own yet, but I know it will be my favourite. It's an N gauge Bachmann DP1 model, and it's gonna be full of awesome!

I'm very fond of my Hornby Dublo Bristol Castle. Might look a bit crude these days, but must have been a marvel back in 1957. Still goes nicely too!

For me its my Virgin livery Class 47 (47844) always been a great loco, never fails and always soldiers on whilst other locos need repairing. :)

A Triang 2 car southern EMU. Bought 2nd hand from Beatties in High Holborn. A brilliant model. even if Triang (for economy reasons???) made the coaches one compartment short. One major problem though. The wheels would only run on 'Series 3' track. It would have to have been completely reshod, to run on Peco, or any other later track.

Ottery St. Mary 34045 is one particular Bullied Pacific that keeps haunting me.
I first saw her, one saturday afternoon, whilst trainspotting, unmodified, on an excursion train, at East Croydon Stn, around 1953.
Then about 1960, modified, in Bournemouth Central MPD.
The last time (so far) About 5-6 years ago. She was parked in Bounds Green depot, in North London. Not quite sure what she was doing there.

Model trains please.;)

As someone who even otherwise seems to go for the rarities in belongings :), it must be the appropriately rare and overpriced APT-P set by Hornby (with a working pantograph, thank you).

Being of a certain age, my living room diorama reflects the interests. No barbies and privateers, just plain state socialism - at 100 mph+...

my Virgin HST is my favourite, I also have 5 0-4-0 tanks including "smokey joe", they only start to struggle when I make them pull 5 MK1s, 8 MEAs and 5 4 wheel coaches, when that happens I run all five in multiple, it's quite a sight!!!

I used to have a favourite that I don't often use now, but of the RTR offerings I have, I love to see my MML HST running round....

My favourite has to be my recently acquired Hornby oo 'James the Red Engine' of Thomas the Tank Engine fame. Though I still also like my Hornby oo 'Flying Scotsman' purely because it was the first train set I was given c. 1983 - and it still works!

I've got one with the extra coaches but it doesn't like corners!

I always wanted to travel on the real thing but it's too late now (except Eurostar):(

The "City of Bristol" is my favourite though.
