Did anyone watch this tonight? I'm currently watching it on iPlayer. I haven't watched the Apprentice for a couple of years as I got largely bored of the format and egos, but something made me check it out tonight and it doesn't actually look too bad so far. First observation after a quarter of an hour or so is that the blonde girl from across the Irish Sea needs putting in her place a bit.

Anyone have any thoughts?

This is going to be pretty useless to you, but i've given up watching 'The Apprentice' (or in certain people's cases, The Blo*dy Apprentice!), purely because im just fed up with two things about it. The b*tch*ness of most of the applicants these days, and the fact the BBC seem to like to rotate that and Masterchef through the year - Masterchef finishes, The apprentice seems to roll along. The apprentice finishes and oh, it's time for something like Masterchef again. :-x Sorry BBC, but you've ruined both programs for me!

So i watched Cop Squad and Operation Iceberg instead.

And their plain, b*****, pig-headed arrogance! :-x

I usually find something else as well.

when someone says The Apprentice I always think of this. (WARNING: Contains strong language)

Exactly what i was thinking, hence The Blo*dy Apprentice! I did wonder at one point (probably during the last series) - Are these people really that pig-headed arrogant in real life, or do they do it just to play for the camera / each other? Either way i'd still rather not meet any of them. Reminds me of one of the rather controversial ex stars of this show, who's parenting skills / attitudes were rather controversial / arrogant / business like.

The Apprentice is usually worth a watch if just for the gratuitous shots of the London skyline, unlike Masterchef (and pretty much any cookery show come to that), which is/are completely and utterly boring to anyone who doesn't like cooking (apart from Sophie Dahl of course ;) )

I don't like cooking, and yet I enjoy MasterChef. So what?

I really don't get The Apprentice (etc) though. Just a bunch of big-headed dweebs who need someone like, er, Lord Sugar (!) to show them up.

The only good thing about the apprentice was that it gave Harry Hill something to take the p*** out of !

Indeed, hopefully the more ammo Harry gets he may eventually edge closer to saying something even slightly funny ;)
