York railway station

I am going to York in a couple of weeks, and wondered if anyone knows the best platforms, or other places to get some good shots of different class trains that come through York, thanks

The south end of the main platforms (eg 8) will get you almost everything that goes through the station itself (except the Harrogate.line). Holgate bridge would cover the goods lines too.
From inside the NRM the signalling section gives a good view of the North end.

As well as that, Platforms 9/10 have quite a good range. You see Desiro Pennines, Voyagers, and the odd HST.
