Please can you advise on the cheapest tickets for the following:
York - Penkridge (or possibly York - Wolverhampton / Stafford if cheaper)
Outward 16 April to arrive between 11.00 and 14.00.
Return 23 April to depart between 08.30 and 10.30

2 adults, 2 children with family railcard. Happy to take a slower route if cheaper. Is there any cheaper fare than £84.10? Thanks in advance.

Derby - Penkridge off peak return £26 is probably a good start.

Yorkie is the man when it comes to cheap travel between York and Derby, so I'll wait for him to sort that part.

if you don't mind going to Stafford and splitting advance tickets at Manchester, then you can get it down to about £57. (or a bit less if you fancy spending an hour at piccadilly).

(valid on trains arriving MAN after 9.30am, any train on return)
Off peak return Manchester-Penkridge £18.90
(valid on trains leaving after 9.30am)
