Later in March 2023 my sister will be staying near York.
Transdev and First York websites seem confusing.

Would it be cheaper to get a bus (adult and 2 kids) from near York (840 Leeds to Whitby) or use a park and Ride ?

Given the £2 singles I'd say it's be cheaper to go bus all the way.

You get two kids for free on the park and ride with each adult return, (£3.60) and they're more frequent, so that's probably the better option

P&R. Every 12-15 min Mon-Sun, kids go free & a return is cheaper (£3.60) than 2 £2 singles (+ 3 kids free per adult on P&R)

Depending on the day you’re coming, avoid the outlet P&R. It’s the worst for getting stuck in traffic. Rawcliffe P&R also quite bad at ‘peak’ time atm due to roadworks

And just how much will it cost to drive to the park and ride is probably the deciding factor

Are they trying to get from near York to York or to Whitby or Leeds, as they all have a Park and Ride?
