It appears that the museum at York station has upped sticks and moved to Lincs. Has this happened yet? And if so, where has it moved to? And if not, when is it due to happen?

Also. Are there any model railway museums in Scotland? The wee one is getting interested in such things now, and I want to get him hooked before he loses interest.

The York site has been closed a few months. To be honest, a visit to a big model railway show was much better than visiting there - a model show is a day event, a trip there was under 30 minutes.

If York was on the radar, the York Model Railway show over the Easter Bank Holiday is always superb, a top mix of quality layouts.

It's a shame to see it go, to be fair it was a little dated but still a fantastic layout and it was nice to know you were still in part of York Station with the NRM just over the rails, shame it's gone! Haven't had the chance to visit the show, however next easter I think i'll give it a whirl!

I'd settle for that! I love that one that's on the bridge inside the station small but very good use of the space!

Its going to be a pub I believe, from the same people who run The Sheffield Tap, Euston Tap and Pivo Bar in York city centre.

Think it is mentioned somewhere in the 'Stations with pubs' thread. There is a link somewhere online but its passed me by at the minute.

I'm not aware of anything like they had at York although there is a layout at the Bo'ness & Kinneil Steam Railway

As said before exhibitions are the best bet and there are two that I go to. The big one in Glasgow which takes place every February
