Please can someone tell me the cheapest option for the following journey. Thanks in advance.

Outward YRK - KGX 19 November
To arrive KGX in time to walk to Euston for the sleeper at 21.15. Not departing YRK before 16.50.

Return KGX - YRK 26 November
To depart KGX late enough to allow me time to walk from Euston having got off the sleeper at 07.47. Not departing KGX after 13.00.

Just 1 adult with no railcards.

Cheapest I can find is £61.40 as 2 EC advance singles.

Fair question! I have to drop my work laptop off in London with the person providing cover while I am away and then pick it up again on the way back.

Fair enough.

Thats the cheapest I can find too.

If you could run from Euston to Kings Cross by 0800, it would cost you £34.50 + £21 = £55.50 instead of £61.40. For some reason the 0804 departure costs almost 3 times more (£62) before going back down to £27 again for the 0830 one.

The only £49.40 fare combination I can see requires leaving KGX at 08:00 which having arrived as EUS at 7:47 could be a bit tight. I would suggest getting the 17:21 YRK -> KGX at £30.70 and then the 09:00 KGX -> YRK at £24.05 total being £54.75

The 10:00 and 10:30 are showing as £30.70 for me currently.

The 1030 is for me now but the 0830 & 0930 are now £18-70 and the 0900 & 1000 are £24.05 - the OP should order quick before they all go up.
